Harajuku’s PORTRATION vintage shop is hosting a special pop-up event called “It’s in The Mix.” The event will feature a collection of items personally curated by Jules Gayton, who is a DJ, visual artist, and Head Curator at JOOPITER.

This two-day event showcases over 100 items collected by Gayton during his travels to cities like London, New York, Hawaii, and Tokyo. The collection, spanning the 1980s and early 2000s, highlights his connection to various global subcultures. Guests can browse graphic tees featuring New York artists and musicians such as Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and Tommy Boy Records, as well as items representing UK artists like Massive Attack, Portishead, and Mo’ Wax. The vibrant 90s street style of Tokyo will also be on display with pieces from brands like Major Force, Electric Cottage, Good Enough, and NOWHERE.

In addition to t-shirts, the pop-up shop will feature a variety of clothing like jackets and shirts, as well as accessories such as hats, beanies, and sunglasses. It will also sell items related to vinyl records. Special vintage pieces will be available, including a 1995 Supreme t-shirt, a 1986 COMME des GARÇONS coat, Phillies Blunt merchandise, and exclusive items originally given to members of the Stüssy Tribe. The collection’s curator, Gayton, will be at the event to share the stories and background behind the items.

The Jules Gayton Archives will present “It’s in The Mix” on April 18th and 19th, 2026, at the PORTRATION venue in Tokyo.
