Popular TikTok couple forced to flee their new home after thieves broke in and stole most of their possessions… after they shared identifiable photos of their house with 600k followers
As an ardent follower of their antics, I can’t help but feel a pang of sympathy for Mitchell and Isabelle, the TikTok sensation duo from Adelaide who recently fell victim to a heartless burglary. Having built a substantial following of 600,000 fans on their social media platforms, they have become known for their infectious humor and hilarious lip-syncing clips.
A well-known TikTok duo residing in Adelaide expressed their dismay upon discovering that their recently purchased home had been burglarized, following their return from an influencer gathering in Sydney.
As a devoted follower, I found myself reflecting on the heartwrenching account shared by Mitchell O’Leary, aged 22, and Isabelle Petzl-Duncan, 19, where they documented their distress upon finding their home completely emptied after a post online.
Mitchell said, “We’ve just returned from Sydney. Upon getting back home, I was surprised to find that I hadn’t left the window open!”

Could you explain why certain items from within our driveway appear to be out of place? It seems someone managed to gain unauthorized access, and they took possession of all my belongings.
Later, Mitchell sent a sarcastic remark to the ruthless thief who took his possessions: ‘Feel free to enjoy all that you’ve pilfered. My belongings are scarce these days.’
He also revealed the thief had gotten ahold of his car keys and ransacked their vehicle.
I’ve had my fair share of run-ins with thieves in my life, but this one takes the cake. They managed to swipe all my possessions – glasses, coins, wallet – you name it! But here’s the kicker: they didn’t take my humor. That’s something no one can steal from me. I may be down on material goods, but my sense of humor is still intact and ready for action!
He discovered that the burglar had not only stolen his apartment’s extra key but also his property, which meant they (he and Isabelle) had no choice but to leave the building immediately, as they feared the thief might come back.
On their lively podcast “Outspoken,” sisters Amy, Kate, and Sophie Taeuber shared insights about an unexpected event, explaining a cunning method the sneaky burglar might have used to figure out the residence was unoccupied.
Last week, Isabelle posted a collection of TikTok videos that she called “Moving Diaries.” These videos gave her followers an inside look at the process of moving into a new rental home.
As a lifestyle expert, I wouldn’t just give you a glimpse of the stunning interior design, but I’d also take you on a tour outside, showing you the house number and the beautiful exterior that complements it.
The sisters warned the couple that they had committed a significant blunder by sharing their house’s location on social networks, and also mentioned that the residence would be empty for the following three days.
One sister remarked, “Given your familiarity with the place, you would’ve immediately recognized where it was.”
‘Now, thieves took their chance when Isabelle shared she and Mitch were headed to Sydney.’
Mitch and Isabelle boast a massive following of 600,000 on social media platforms, largely due to their knack for posting side-splitting lip-sync videos that delight their followers.
