In the previous year, fans of Supernatural were saddened when Amazon Prime Video declared that the series would be removed from their platform shortly.

Currently, all 15 seasons of the popular supernatural drama series about hunting demons have returned to Prime’s library. This show is now one of the most viewed programs on the streaming service.

Jared Padalecki from Gilmore Girls and Jensen Ackles from The Boys portray Sam and Dean Winchester, a pair of brothers who travel throughout America, battling demons, spirits, and various other supernatural threats.

Introduced in 2005, it quickly gained a dedicated fanbase and left critics in awe of its knack for maintaining entertainment value even after many years.

The Chicago Tribune’s review from 2006 stated that “Supernatural” wasn’t revolutionizing television, but there were only a few shows that could consistently deliver satisfaction, and “Supernatural” was one of them.

According to Rotten Tomatoes, every season of this show receives a favorable rating from critics (it’s even labeled as 93% fresh!). In the critique from Empire Magazine, season one was referred to as a “grittier version of Charmed,” with an extra dose of masculinity.

Among all the installments on the aggregator, it’s the controversial Season 8 that’s sitting at a moderate score of 67%, which is quite low when you consider its comparison with other seasons and even the last season, which has an impressive perfect score of 100%.

In 2019, the show came to an end with a spectacular clash featuring the Winchesters, supported by their divine friend Castiel (portrayed by Misha Collins), against a formidable foe – God.

The supernatural universe generated concepts for two offshoots, which were initially presented as hidden pilot episodes in seasons 9 and 13 of the primary series. Regrettably, neither was selected to become a full-fledged television series.

In 2022, a TV show called “The Winchesters” debuted, which served as a prequel spinoff focusing on Sam and Dean’s parents. Jared Padalecki, who narrated the series and also played a role in its production, was behind it. Unfortunately, this series only lasted for one season.
