Poppy Delevingne has found her knight in shining armour as she throws fancy dress party for her boyfriend after speaking out on the ‘stigma’ of becoming a female divorcee

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I must say Poppy Delevingne’s journey is nothing short of captivating. Her latest escapade into medieval folklore, complete with armored knights and monks, speaks volumes about her penchant for the extraordinary.

At the weekend, Archie Keswick, the partner of the actress and model, hosted a costume party. Interestingly, Archie himself wore a suit of armor over chain mail, while Sir Ben Elliot, Queen Camilla’s nephew, chose to dress up as a monk.

The theme for the party taking place in Burford, situated within the Cotswolds, was ‘medieval folklore’. This event was organized to commemorate Archie’s 43rd birthday and his sister Willa’s 40th, who are prominent members of the influential Jardine Matheson empire, worth several billions.

In May, it became known that Poppy, aged 38, had been seen dating Archie, a former beau of the famous actress Sienna Miller, who attended Eton.

Referred to as a ‘prominent bachelor’ not widely known, this Eton-educated entrepreneur boasts a net worth of approximately £6 billion, with his family being the owners of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.

In June, Poppy presented her latest companion, Charles, with the title of ‘father figure’, following their public outing together at an upscale eatery in Notting Hill, where they were seen alongside a well-known property developer, aged 74.

She’s walked runways for brands like Burberry and Marc Jacobs, appeared on the covers of numerous fashion magazines, and thrives as a businesswoman with a busy social life.

However, Poppy mentioned that the societal prejudice associated with being a divorced woman, especially in her case as a former wife of businessman James Cook, aged 44, prevented her from ending their marriage, which had lasted for eight years.

In a recent public statement regarding the separation that was announced in 2022, the 38-year-old individual expressed: ‘It might have been best for it to end sooner than it did. I believe one of the factors that prolonged it was that taboo, which is quite astonishing.’

I can’t help but feel disheartened over the fact that society seems to perpetuate this notion, that being divorced somehow makes her ‘damaged goods,’ undesirable in the eyes of others. It’s unfortunate and wrong that such a talented and beautiful individual might be judged based on something as trivial as marital status.

Women in their late thirties, particularly those without children yet, often find it challenging to decide about having a baby. Making such a decision is by no means an easy task.

In 2014, the pair tied the knot in an upscale London wedding at St. Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge, where socialites like Trinny Woodall and Charlotte Tilbury were among the guests.

Poppy’s little sister, the renowned model Cara Delevingne, served as the matron of honor. Both sisters donned Chanel for the occasion.

Pondering their bond, Ms Delevingne stated: ‘We had a great deal of love and admiration. Unfortunately, it simply wasn’t functioning anymore for us.’

As a lifestyle guide, I’d put it this way: “Reflecting on my past, I met someone exceptional at the tender age of 20. Fifteen years is an eternity in some aspects, and I consider that stretch of time, spent with one person, as a remarkable success. However, all good things must eventually pass, and when our journey did culminate, it felt like a cork popping off a bottle – the rush of freedom was exhilarating.

‘And I think I’ve said this to you before, I felt sort of 20 all over again.’

After their separation, Ms. Delevinge has been in a relationship with Constantine Alexios, a Greek and Danish prince who is twelve years younger than her, and moreover, she has begun seeing Sienna Miller’s former partner, Archie.

Last year, Mr. Cook was seen with a new partner, and interestingly, he took her along to an occasion that his former wife was organizing for their shared business, Della Vite, a sustainable Prosecco brand they established together with sisters Cara and Chloe in 2020.

Nevertheless, Ms. Delevingne expressed on the Origins With Cush Jumbo podcast that being labeled as a ‘socialite’ has significantly minimized the value of anything meaningful I’ve ever achieved.

She expressed: ‘They aim to humble me, which is incredibly aggravating since I don’t understand – what exactly does that mean? What does being a socialite entail?’
