A famous pop duo had to call off several performances due to one of the performers suffering a sudden collapse during a live show.
Due to illness caused by a virus, the Australian guitar-pop duo known as Royel Otis, based in Sydney, has decided to cancel their upcoming performances.
In the year 2019, Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic came together to establish a new band. This week, they’ve been entertaining audiences at the MS Dockville festival in Germany.
As a die-hard fan here, let me share my take on a recent video buzzing around TikTok. It seems it captured an alarming instant when Royel unexpectedly fell during their performance. I can hardly contain my concern!
He received assistance from the other band members while they were on stage. Regarding the collapse, the band hasn’t spoken about it personally yet, but they issued a statement over the weekend.
Unfortunately, due to Roy being ill with a virus since last night’s concert in Hamburg, we regret to inform you that our performances at Lowlands and Pukkelpop festivals have been cancelled.

Looking forward to entertaining you! We hope to cross paths at another performance of ours in the near future.
‘Thank you for all your support always [pink heart emoji] Roy + Otis.’
This week, the news broke that Harvest Rock Festival is making its comeback for this year, following its cancellation in 2020 – with Royel Otis confirmed as one of the performers.
On Thursday, an Instagram post from the renowned Adelaide music event unveiled their 2025 lineup, highlighting that the celebrated rock band The Strokes will take center stage at the event in October.
Boasting over 14.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, holding a platinum album and multiple accolades, including a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album in 2021, this band significantly enriches the festival’s lineup.
As an ardent music enthusiast, I can’t help but feel a surge of excitement when I see the lineup that includes my favorites! The War On Drugs, M.I.A, and Jelly Roll are absolutely legendary acts that never fail to deliver an incredible performance. Not to forget our homegrown heroes like Vance Joy, Wolfmother, Lime Cordiale, Royel Otis, and The Jungle Giants who always put on a spectacular show! I simply can’t wait to be there and soak in the magic of this concert!
The live music festival will be happening at Rymill Park and King Rodney Park, centrally located in Adelaide, on October 25th and 26th. This upcoming event is creating quite a buzz in the music scene.

Tickets for presale can be bought starting from August 19, while the general sale (open to everyone) begins on August 20.
Fans experienced a great disappointment the previous year, as the festival was unexpectedly cancelled only a few months prior to its scheduled date.
Back in August 2024, the organizers of Harvest Rock shared on Instagram that the event wouldn’t take place for the very first time since its launch in 2011. In simpler terms, this means they announced the cancellation of the show on Instagram, a milestone since it had always happened before 2024.
The post stated that they’ve been putting a lot of effort into planning an amazing Harvest Rock III event in 2024, but unfortunately, they’ve had to make the tough call not to host the festival this year.
We’re grateful for the continuous backing from the government of South Australia, and we eagerly anticipate the upcoming Harvest Rock projects.
According to the Adelaide Advertiser, it seems that Secret Sounds, the organizers of the event, were not successful in securing a main performer for the 2024 show.
It wasn’t explicitly stated by Harvest Rock music festival or Secret Sounds why the event was ultimately called off.
