Ponyta Pokémon GO Community Day: Tips, tricks & 100% IV

In September, the Pokémon GO Community Day special event will highlight Ponyta. This means that trainers in Pokémon GO will have an opportunity to catch a Shiny version of Ponyta and obtain a Rapidash with the unique move, Wild Charge. During this period, both Ponyta and its evolved form, Rapidash, will be available.

The Ponyta Community Day will happen on Saturday, September 14, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Contrary to an earlier in-game teaser, the event was initially announced for September 14, so keep an eye out for further updates.

Pontya isn’t the most exciting Pokémon GO Community Day. However, we do have both forms of Ponyta avaliable, and we also have a great Stardust bonus. So, more than ever this is a great chance to meet up with your friends and play some Pokémon GO.

At the specified occasions, both Ponyta and its Galarian variant will be spotted more often in the wild. Additionally, you’ll find it easier to catch a Shiny version of Ponyta, regardless of its specific form.

During the Ponyta Pokemon GO Community Day, if your Ponyta evolves into Rapidash, it will acquire a special move called Wild Charge, which is an Electric-type attack. If you’ve already got a Rapidash, the only method to teach it this move is by using an Elite Technical Machine (TM).
