Police are investigating a third domestic violence claim against Taylor Frankie Paul

Police are looking into claims of a third domestic disturbance involving reality TV personalities Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen, according to a police spokesperson who spoke with The Times on Tuesday.

In February, Mortensen filed a police report in West Jordan, Utah, claiming Paul committed domestic violence sometime between early and mid-2024.

According to a department spokesperson, police are currently collecting and confirming details and attempting to speak with everyone involved. They have already spoken with Mortensen and are working to schedule an interview with Paul.

No charges have been filed, as the investigation is ongoing and the case is still active.

The Draper Police Department in Utah has also stated they are investigating a report related to the former couple.

Following an investigation, Paul has temporarily lost custody of her son, Ever, who she shares with Mortensen. Court records obtained by The Times show Paul was denied any visitation rights and a temporary restraining order was put in place against her on March 20th.

Taylor Frankie Paul, a reality TV personality, says her daughter is struggling after a video of a fight between her and someone else was made public. Her daughter was present during the incident.

Paul, known for his show “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” was originally chosen to host Season 22 of “The Bachelorette.” However, the show’s premiere, which was filmed and scheduled for last Sunday, was cancelled after a video surfaced online showing a domestic dispute between Paul and someone named Mortensen that happened in 2023.

Mortensen has denied that he leaked the video to TMZ.

The incident was previously documented in court and featured on the first season of “Mormon Wives,” with a segment of Paul’s arrest shown through police body camera footage in Episode 1. A recently leaked video clip revealed more of the altercation, specifically showing Paul throwing metal barstools at Mortensen.

An extended body-cam video of Paul’s arrest also has been released.

The additional video shows Paul stating that Mortensen pushed her in the garage, causing her to be so frightened she lost control of her bladder.

Representatives for Mortensen did not respond to a request for comment.

The reality star was just about to appear on a new dating show when a cast member from ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ caused problems, stopping the plan. Now, it’s unclear what will happen next.

Salt Lake County District Attorney Sim Gill stated on Tuesday that his office is reviewing a case submitted by Draper police to determine if any charges should be filed, according to NBC News. His office has requested all investigative materials related to the recent allegations.

Gill explained that they requested this action because any future charges could be more serious given a previous agreement in a domestic violence case.

A representative for Paul stated last week that Taylor appreciates ABC’s support while she focuses on keeping her family safe. After enduring years of hidden mental and physical abuse and threats, Taylor is now finding the courage to confront her abuser and is taking action to protect herself and her children from future harm.

Many women are quietly enduring hardship because of controlling, possessive former partners who won’t allow them to rebuild their lives.

Taylor hasn’t spoken up because she’s afraid of more harm, getting backlashes, and being publicly embarrassed. She’s now considering her choices, getting help, and getting ready to tell her side of the story.
