Imane “Pokimane” Anys, the popular streamer, recently had a vibrant mukbang gathering with music group KATSEYE and singer d4vd. They shared jokes and discussed various subjects during this event. Pokimane prioritized making her guests at ease before starting, and for this purpose, she arranged preferred foods with KATSEYE. Moreover, she surprised each member with a unique Van Cleef bracelet. Later, she showcased the designs of these bracelets on her X. D4vd received a special gift too. In the background, the tune of KATSEYE’s latest hit, Gnarly, played softly.

The young women candidly discussed their hectic artistic routines, which included rehearsals, media appearances, content production, album marketing, talk show appearances, and various other commitments. Pokimane offered them her support, both advice and legal assistance, should they ever require it at any time. It’s worth noting that the K-pop industry (being relevant to KATSEYE since they publicize their music in South Korea) can be extremely challenging for artists.

The ladies spoke freely about their busy artistic lives, filled with rehearsals, interviews, content creation, album promotion, talk shows, and more. Pokimane extended her help, including advice and legal aid, whenever they might need it. Notably, the K-pop industry (where KATSEYE has a connection since they showcase their music in South Korea) can be quite demanding for artists.

If you were not part of a girl group, what would you be studying?

Fans often wonder what their favorite personalities might be up to if they weren’t famous. In KATSEYE, Lara harbored dreams of becoming a music producer, Megan yearned for a career as a fashion designer, Manon saw herself working behind the scenes as a production assistant, and Sophia foresaw a future in marketing. Yoonchae aimed to act, while Daniela imagined herself either acting or dancing professionally.

Additionally, the girls discussed the convenience of time zone differences when communicating with their parents. They admitted that one of the most challenging aspects of their work is being separated from their families.

Gnarly music video

Absolutely, discussing Gnarly’s music video and the creation of their first experimental song was inevitable in their conversation. Pokimane showed particular interest in understanding how they filmed the opening scene featuring Yoonchae’s head inside a pink packaging. The Korean band member revealed that they punctured the packaging, placed Yoonchae’s head inside, and positioned her on a black carpet under a black blanket to create a uniform background. This setup made it appear as if her head was floating in the scene.

Gaming girls

KATSEYE possesses a lesser-known passion for gaming that only a select few were aware of. Manon would frequently discuss her enjoyment of watching Minecraft live streams, while Daniela couldn’t get enough of Fortnite. Megan is particularly fond of VALORANT, and she even specializes as a Sage character. Lara has a soft spot for Call of Duty, and Yoonchae prefers The Sims and PUBG. Sophia often spoke about her affection for Overcooked, and the group also enjoyed watching anime together.

During the stream, everyone enjoyed chatting and sampling various topics while eating. It was a very relaxing and engaging experience to watch, providing a deeper insight into the personalities of the girls. One of the participants mentioned on Weverse (a Korean platform for artists and fans to interact through subscription) that she was amazed Pokimane had sinigang (a Filipino soup), which moved her deeply. “I felt on the verge of tears, but managed to hold it together as if Pokimane had healed me and boosted my spirits”, Sophia posted.
