Pokémon Unite: Top 7 Pokémon which fans are eager to see

As a seasoned Pokémon trainer who has been with the franchise since its humble beginnings in the Kanto region, I can wholeheartedly say that the suggestions made here strike a chord with me and many other trainers out there. The anticipation for these iconic Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE is palpable, like the electric energy of an electabuzz on a stormy night!

Pokémon Unite is a thrilling 5 against 5 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game that’s taking the gaming world by storm, combining the excitement of MOBA games with the beloved characters from the Pokémon universe. In this game, players get to choose their preferred Pokémon for each battle and strategically use it to overcome opponents while progressing through its evolutionary stages within the match itself. This piece aims to delve into the community’s favorite Pokémon picks in Pokémon Unite and uncover the most anticipated characters they eagerly want to play.

In this write-up, we’ll delve into the species type, ancestral lineage, generation origin, and initial appearance region for all beloved Starter, Pseudo-Legendary, and Legendary Pokémon that fans are excitedly anticipating.

Pokémon Unite: Listing the top 7 fan-favourite Pokémon

1. Typhlosion

Let’s kick things off by exploring Starter Pokémons, just like every Pokémon adventure begins. The first one we’ll look at is Typhlosion, a Fire-Type Starter from the second generation. I’ve been a fan of it since its debut. It made its initial appearance in the Gen-II games, namely Pokémon Gold, Pokémon Silver, and Pokémon Crystal. These games were set in the Johto Region.

It has a 3 stage Evolution Line. Its first stage is Cyndaquil, later it evolves into Quilava and then Typhlosion. Even in anime, Cyndaquil was one of Ash’s prominent Pokémon in Pokémon: The Johto Journeys, Pokémon: Johto League Champions, and Pokémon: Master Quest. So fans want Typhlosion in the game in the Attacker Role.

2. Swampert

Currently, we’ve introduced a character hailing from the Hoenn Region and Generation III – Swampert, a Pokémon with both Water and Ground types. Known for its impressive stat growth in the Generation III games like Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, Swampert was greatly admired by fans alongside Blaziken. Similar to other Starter Pokémons, Swampert has a three-stage Evolution Line: Mudkip is the first stage, Marshtomp is the second, and finally, Swampert emerges as the third and final stage. This addition will undoubtedly enrich our game, as Swampert can function effectively as either an All-rounder or Defender.

3. Infernape

Similar to Typhlosion, there’s potential for another fiery starter character, this time originating from Generation IV, namely Infernape, a Fire and Fighting type. Some may liken it to Blaziken, but anime fans know it offers much more than that. This Pokémon makes its appearance in the games Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. It has a three-stage evolution line: Chimchar is the first stage, Monferno is the second, and Infernape is the final stage. I suggest incorporating it into the game as an Attacker.

4. Salamence

As a dedicated gamer, let me express my excitement about the Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon! The game has already included numerous Pseudo-Legendaries, but as a Gen-III fan, I can’t help but long for one of the best and most iconic – Salamence, the Dragon/Flying type. This powerhouse made its debut in the Hoenn Region, boasting an impressive three-stage Evolution Line: starting with Bagon, then evolving into Shelgon, and finally transforming into Salamence.

5. Crobat

Let’s delve into discussing a particular Pokémon that was often disliked by players of initial-generation games, yet they acknowledge its potential nuisance. We are referring to its cherished final form, known as Crobat (a Poison and Flying Type), a creature that evolves based on friendship. Making its debut in Gen-I and remaining a constant presence across all subsequent Pokémon games, it is part of a three-stage Evolution Line, starting with Zubat, proceeding to Golbat, and culminating in Crobat. In the game, Crobat will serve as an excellent Speedster.

6. Ditto

As a dedicated fan, I’m genuinely excited about the prospect of seeing Ditto join the roster in Pokémon UNITE! The mystery surrounding this Normal Type Pokémon has certainly piqued our curiosity. In this game, Ditto will be unique due to its ability to learn only one move – “Transform” – and then mimic Pokémon from the opposing team, harnessing their powers for itself. It’s fascinating to note that Ditto doesn’t have an Evolution Line. First appearing in Generation I, this versatile Pokémon can truly be considered an All-Rounder, as it has the potential to transform into any Pokémon on the battlefield.

7. Deoxys

Following Mewtwo’s debut in the game, players have been eagerly anticipating another space-originated Pokémon: Deoxys (Psychic). This Legendary creature made its appearance in Gen-III games like Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald. Upon colliding with Earth, it struck the Hoenn Region. Unlike other Pokémon, Deoxy has no Evolution Line. Instead, it boasts three distinct forms: Normal Form, Attack Form, Defense Form, and Speed Form. Adding this versatile Pokémon to the game would be a fantastic choice!

Final Thoughts

Among the Pokémon characters, it’s clear that certain ones have generated the most buzz among fans. It’s important to note that there are a grand total of 1,025 Pokémon currently existing within the Pokémon Universe. Without a doubt, every one of these Pokémon has its dedicated fanbase, and they all eagerly anticipate seeing their favorite characters in the game.
