Pokémon Unite Moltres Movesets

Basic Attack

Every five attacks, the next one becomes more powerful, dealing extra damage. After landing this boosted attack, you can immediately use one move, and your Unite Move meter will fill up a little bit.

Passive – Flame Body

When a Pokémon is hit by an attack, it can get burned. Each time it’s hit, the burn gets worse.

Ability 1 – Wing Attack

The Pokémon used a move that involves flying forward and attacking, dealing damage to the opponent.

Ability Choice at Level 5

At Level 5, Moltres will be able to use the following ability:

Sky Attack

The user performs a powerful, dashing attack in a chosen direction, damaging opposing Pokémon. Successfully hitting multiple opponents with this move temporarily boosts the user’s Defense and Special Defense stats – the more Pokémon hit, the greater the increase.

Upgrade: Grants the user a shield effect when this move hits Pokémon from the opposing team.

Ability 2 – Incinerate

This move makes the user launch a flaming attack at the opposing Pokémon, causing damage. The more burned the target is, the stronger the attack. However, hitting the target with this move also stops any existing burn damage they had.

Ability Choice at Level 7

At Level 7, Moltres will be able to use the following ability:

Heat Waves

This move makes the user breathe hot air at the opponent, causing damage and slowly healing the user over a short period. The more burned the target is, the more damage this move does. Each time this move hits, it removes any burn status the target had.

Upgrade: Reduces this move’s cooldown when it deals damage to Pokémon from the opposing team.

Unite Move – Firebird Inferno

As a player, I love using this move! It lets my Pokémon shoot a huge fireball at the other team, dealing damage and really building up their burn status. The best part? After I use it, it reveals the area around their goal zones, giving me a clear view of where I need to aim next. It’s a total game-changer!

Pokémon Unite Moltres Gameplay Tips

This guide will show you how to play Moltres effectively in Pokémon Unite and create a winning strategy. We’ll break down what to do in the early and late stages of the game, so be sure to read through both sections.

Early Game

When playing Moltres, it’s best to go to either the Top or Bottom lane. Early in the game, concentrate on safely earning experience and trying to gain an advantage in your lane. Use Wing Attack to quickly move through the jungle, clear out wild Pokémon, and reposition yourself in battles or when you need to escape. Also, use your Incinerate ability to constantly damage enemies and add even more damage if they’re already burned from your other attacks.

Okay, so Moltres is seriously strong, and a big reason is its basic attack. Basically, every time you hit an enemy – whether it’s a wild Pokémon or another player’s – it cuts down the cooldown on all your abilities. It’s awesome for speeding things up! I’ve been using it to clear out jungle camps super fast at the beginning of the game, letting me farm and level up way quicker than usual.

Moltres has a special ability called Flame Body that builds up a burn counter every time you hit an enemy. To maximize the damage of its Incinerate attack, try hitting with basic attacks first. This can even allow you to inflict a powerful double burn. However, be careful not to push too far into enemy territory. Focus on safely collecting resources until you reach Level 5, when Moltres becomes significantly stronger.

Mid and Late Game

When Moltres reaches Level 5, its Wing Attack evolves into Sky Attack. At Level 7, Incinerate becomes Heat Wave, creating its main attack combination. Begin battles with Sky Attack to quickly close the distance with enemies and boost your Defense and Special Defense – the amount of the boost depends on how many opponents you hit. This allows Moltres to confidently engage in fights and last longer in team battles or when trying to secure objectives.

When you’ve applied Burn stacks, use Heat Waves to deal extra damage and regain some health. Heat Waves does more damage the more Burn stacks you have, so try building them up with regular attacks or Sky Attack before using it for maximum effect.

Moltres’ ultimate move, Firebird Inferno, is most effective during big team fights later in the game when opponents are close together. It deals a lot of damage quickly and immediately applies maximum burn stacks, which sets up powerful follow-up attacks. This makes it particularly useful when trying to capture or defend important objectives like Goal Zones, Groudon, and Regieleki, or when stopping the enemy team from advancing.

Positioning of Moltres

Moltres works best in either the Top or Bottom Lane. This lets you easily gather resources and move between lanes to support your teammates.
