Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard Y Movesets
Basic Attack
This attack continuously damages the opponent. It deals even more damage to Pokémon that have been burned by the user’s attacks. As the user evolves, the attack’s range gets larger.
Passive ability
A Pokémon’s special ability can change when it Mega Evolves. Here’s a look at its ability in both its regular and Mega Evolved forms:
- Blaze (Normal Form): When the Pokemon receives damage, it deals increased damage for a short time.
- Drought (Mega Evolved Form): The sunlight surrounding the Pokémon becomes stronger. While inside the sunny area of effect. the Pokémon deals increased damage.

Ability 1 – Flame Burst
This Pokémon attacks with a powerful explosion of flame. If it connects, it has a chance to burn the target and briefly boosts the user’s speed.
Flamethrower
Okay, so I finally got Mega Charizard Y to Level 5, and it unlocked a new ability! Here’s the rundown on what it does:
- Has the user attack with an intense blast of fire. When this move hits, it leaves opposing Pokémon burned and increases the user’s movement speed for a short time.
- When the user Mega Evolves, its movement speed is further increased.
- Upgrade: Increases this move’s damage and the damage caused by burning.
Ability 2 – Fire Spin
This move creates a swirling vortex of fire that damages nearby opponents. After the initial hit, it continues to burn them over time and briefly slows them down.
Fire Blast
Mega Charizard Y gains access to this ability at Level 7. Here are the details:
- Has the user blast intense, all-consuming fire, dealing damage over time to opposing Pokémon while the flames burn on the ground and decreasing opposing Pokemon’s movement speed for a short time.
- When the user Mega Evolves, this move’s area of effect is increased.
- Upgrade: Increases the damage dealt by this move.
Unite Move – Seismic Slam
This move lets Mega Charizard Y grab an enemy Pokémon and forcefully drop it from above. After using this Unite Move, Mega Charizard Y immediately Mega Evolves and, for a limited time, can fly over obstacles without being slowed down.
Mega Evolution significantly increases a Pokémon’s power. Not only do its moves become stronger, but its basic attacks also hit harder, have a chance to burn the opponent, and even restore the user’s health when they connect.

Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard Y Gameplay Tips
This guide will show you how to play Mega Charizard Y effectively in Pokémon Unite and create a winning strategy. We’ll cover both the early and late stages of the game, so be sure to read the entire guide to maximize your success.
Early Game
At the beginning of the game, Mega Charizard Y starts as Charmander, so focus on safely defeating wild Pokémon to evolve quickly. Use Flame Burst and Fire Spin to both earn experience and put pressure on your opponent. These moves both have a chance to burn, so using them together will consistently damage enemy Pokémon.

Okay, so my passive is all about dealing more damage after I get hit, which is awesome. I try to use that to my advantage by constantly chipping away at opponents early in the game. Once I evolve into Charmeleon, things really pick up – my burn effects get stronger, and my stats improve, letting me go toe-to-toe with other Pokémon. Basically, I need to play aggressively and just keep farming so I can unlock my Unite move and Mega Evolve as quickly as possible. That Mega Evolution is key because it gives me seriously boosted attacks, and that’s when I can really start dominating!
Focus on helping your team’s attacker get resources quickly and defeat powerful early-game Pokémon like Rotom, Regieleki, or Regice as soon as you can. This will allow your team to level up rapidly and secure important wins.
Mid and Late Game
Once you reach Mega Evolution using your ultimate ability, Mega Charizard Y becomes a strong attacker. When you use your Unite Move and evolve, your passive ability boosts your damage while you’re fighting in the sunny area created by the move. Begin with Fire Blast to spread flames across the battlefield, slowing enemies and giving you a significant advantage.

After using your initial move, quickly follow up with Flamethrower to keep damaging enemies as you pursue them with your increased speed. When Mega Evolved, focus on using your enhanced basic attacks to inflict burn and heal Mega Charizard Y, helping it stay in battle longer. Also, consistently join team fights, particularly when fighting over important targets like Groudon and Regidragon.
Positioning of Mega Charizard Y
Mega Charizard Y performs best in the top or bottom lane. Players should focus on earning experience by defeating Aipoms and Audinos. It’s also highly beneficial to actively hunt down and defeat groups of Combees and Vespiqueen for faster leveling.
