Pokémon Unite Mega Charizard X Movesets
Basic Attack
This attack deals ongoing damage. It also deals extra damage to opponents affected by burn from the user’s moves. As the user evolves, the attack’s range gets larger.
Passive ability
A Pokémon’s special ability can change when it Mega Evolves. Here’s a look at its ability in both its regular and Mega Evolved forms:
- Solar Power (Normal Form): When the Pokémon uses a move, it deals increased damage but loses some HP. This ability’s effect does not trigger when the Pokémon is in tall grass. When The Pokémon deals damage with a basic attack to opposing Pokémon that have been burned by its moves, HP is restored.
- Tough Claws (Mega Evolved Form): Gains a boost counter each time a move hits opposing Pokémon (maximum 3 counters). When a boost counter is consumed, the Pokémon’s next basic attack becomes a boosted attack and is guaranteed to be a critical hit. When the Pokémon deals damage with a basic attack to opposing Pokémon that have been burned by its moves, HP is restored.
Ability 1 – Flame Burst
This Pokémon attacks with a powerful explosion of flame. If the attack lands, it has a chance to burn the target and temporarily boost the user’s speed.
Fire Punch
Mega Charizard X gains access to this ability at level 5. Here are the details:
- Has the user punch with a fiery fist, dealing damage and shoving opposing Pokémon when it hits. It also leaves the opposing Pokémon, it shoves burned. When the user has Mega Evolved, all Pokémon it hits are burned.
- When the user Mega Evolves, it can charge power for a longer duration, dealing increased damage to opposing Pokémon, and shoving them.
- Upgrade: Reduces the move’s cooldown every time a Basic attack hits.
Ability 2 – Fire Spin
This move creates a swirling vortex of fire that hits nearby opponents. After the initial hit, it continues to damage them over time and temporarily slows them down.
Flare Blitz
Mega Charizard X gains access to this ability starting at Level 7. Details about the ability are shown below.
- Has the user charge forward, cloaked in fire, throwing opposing Pokémon. It also grants the user a shield.
- When the user has Mega Evolved, nearby opposing Pokémon are also thrown. Hitting a Pokémon from the opposing team with this move also reduces this move’s cooldown.
- Upgrade: Decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when they are thrown by this move
Unite Move – Seismic Slam
This move involves capturing an opponent’s Pokémon and forcefully dropping it from above. Once used, Mega Charizard X instantly Mega Evolves.

These moves inflict burns, and using them together allows you to deal steady damage while also regaining a little health with regular attacks.
To minimize health loss from your unique ability, stay close to tall grass. When you evolve into Charmeleon, you’ll deal more damage with burn effects and have improved stats, making you a strong trader as you prepare for Mega Evolution. Keep battling consistently to unlock your ultimate move and Mega Evolve at the same time, giving you significantly stronger attacks.
Focus on helping your team’s damage dealer get resources quickly and defeat powerful early-game Pokémon like Rotom, Regigigas, and Regice as soon as you can. This will help your team gain levels quickly and secure important wins.
Mid and Late Game
Once Mega Charizard X reaches its ultimate form, it becomes a powerful attacker. Its Tough Claws ability makes regular attacks hit much harder with critical strikes, and this works especially well with stronger versions of moves like Fire Punch and Flare Blitz, allowing for constant, overwhelming attacks.
When Charizard Mega Evolves, use Flare Blitz to hit multiple enemies, then follow up with Fire Punch to inflict a burn. Keep attacking with your stronger basic attacks to deal damage and stay healthy. In its Mega Evolved form, Charizard becomes a tough fighter who can control groups of enemies, deal a lot of damage quickly, and stay in the fight for a long time, making it great for taking on powerful opponents like Groudon and Regidragon.
