Pokémon Unite Latios Movesets
Basic Attack
Deals damage to opposing Pokémon.
Passive – Levitate
When this Pokemon performs an action, its speed temporarily boosts. If Latias is around, the Pokemon’s speed also increases. With Latias as a teammate, this Pokemon can fly towards Latias. This ability activates only when the Pokemon isn’t engaged in battle and goes on a cool-down period after use.
Ability 1 – Confusion
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but wonder if I’ve managed to unleash a modest psychokinetic push towards my foes’ Pokémon, causing harm and momentarily hindering their speed in the process.
Ability Choices at Level 7
At Level 7, Latios would have to choose either of the following abilities:
Luster Purge | Telekinesis |
---|---|
Has the user let loose a ball of light. After a set amount of time passes, or if this move is used again, the ball’s light releases all at once, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and marking them. The user and any Latias on the user’s team deal increased damage to marked opposing Pokémon. | The skill allows the user to unleash psychic power in the designated direction, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. If the user hits an opposing Pokémon with this move, the move can be used again to unleash psychic power at a designated opposing Pokémon, dealing damage to it. If the second Pokémon hit by this move is different from the first, the two Pokémon are pulled toward each other and are left unable to act if they collide. If the same as the first, it is left unable to act. |
Upgrade: Increases the duration that opposing Pokémon remain marked. | Upgrade: Strengthens the slowing effect applied by this move. |
Ability 2 – Swift
In simpler terms, the user emits a pattern resembling stars’ rays that spread over a wide area, causing harm to enemy Pokémon they encounter within that space.
Ability Choices at Level 5
At Level 5, either of these two moves becomes available.
Dragon Pulse | Draco Meteor |
---|---|
After the user learns this move, it gains Eon power whenever it defeats wild Pokémon. This move has the user dash in the designated direction and makes its next basic attack a boosted attack. If the user hits an opposing Pokémon with a boosted basic attack, the user gains Eon power. This boosted attack also releases telekinetic projectiles, which deal damage. The more Eon power the user has accumulated, the more projectiles are released and the more damage they deal. | After the user learns this move, it gains Eon power whenever it defeats wild Pokémon. This move has the user summon down comets onto the designated area, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon they hit. If this move hits Pokémon on the opposing team, the user gains Eon power. The more Eon power the user has accumulated, the more comets are summoned and the more damage they deal. |
Upgrade: Telekinetic projectiles deal additional damage to opposing Pokémon equal to a set percentage of their max HP. | Upgrade: Comets deal additional damage to opposing Pokémon equal to a set percentage of their max HP. |
Unite Move – Eon Blast
When the player targets an opponent’s Pokémon, they gather power and then launch a pulse attack, causing harm. After this move, the cooldown for other moves quickly resets and decreases briefly. If another Latias is also launching its Unite Move at the same target, the pulses accumulate and eventually explode, inflicting damage in the vicinity of the target as well.

Pokémon Unite Latios Gameplay Tips
As a seasoned gamer diving into Pokémon Unite, let me walk you through my winning strategy for mastering the ethereal Pokémon, Latios. This guide will cover everything from the initial phases to the climax of the game, so buckle up and follow me till the end!
In other words, here’s my breakdown of how to play and nail the ultimate game plan with Latios in Pokémon Unite:
1. Early Game Strategies (First 5-7 minutes): Focus on building your team composition and understanding the map layout. Mastering the art of last-hitting wild Pokémon for experience points is crucial during this phase. Don’t forget to use Latios’s Unite Move, Sky Attack, to gain an early advantage in battles.
2. Late Game Strategies (After 7 minutes): Now that your team has synergized and the map is more familiar, it’s time to ramp up your offensive efforts. Use Latios’s abilities to control the field, slow down opponents, and deal massive damage. Don’t forget to use Unite Charge to unleash Sky Attack at strategic moments for maximum impact!
Early Game
Because Latios doesn’t undergo evolution, it stays strong from its initial form. As for gameplay strategies, players might choose to position Latios in the Top, Bottom, or even Jungle lane.
To effectively increase the power of Latios, focus on cultivating resources for its level up. It would be advantageous to prioritize and enhance the Swift skill as it inflicts significant damage, while also facilitating efficient farming in the early stages. On the other hand, Confusion boosts your offensive capacity by slowing down enemies affected by the ability. When used together, these abilities can prove extremely potent.
As a fan, I’d recommend focusing on the top lane with Latios, engaging Rotom and aiming to score as many points as possible. This aggressive approach will help you level up rapidly and put pressure on the opponent’s attackers. When teamed with an allied Support or Defender, take the offensive with Latios by marking and eliminating enemy laners effectively.
Late Game
A little further along, at Level 7, a decision needs to be made between Luster Purge and Telekinesis. Luster Purge is strongly suggested, particularly for aggressive playstyles, as it empowers Latios to dish out heavy damage to adversaries in quick succession. Enemies marked by this ability will sustain significantly more damage when either Latios or an allied Latias strikes them.
When dealing with several Pokémon adversaries, Telekinesis is a beneficial option since it immobilizes them after they’ve been struck by its ability. Strategize accordingly. Additionally, Latios’ Unite move proves handy during the battle against Zapdos as it allows him to swiftly defeat and steal from the enemy Pokémon he focuses on. Plan your moves accordingly.
Positioning of Latios
For Latios, the optimal route would be either the upper lane or the jungle. Players should concentrate on harvesting Aipoms and Audinos in the lanes. Whenever possible, take down groups of Combees and Vespiqueen to gain more experience and make leveling up easier. However, Latios’ attacking abilities should primarily be reserved for targeting enemy units that are not the main roam player, unless you’re assisting your allied speedster.
