As a huge Pokémon UNITE fan, I’m so hyped for 2026! The Pokémon Company just announced that the Legendary bird trio – Zapdos, Articuno, and Moltres – are coming to the game! Zapdos is landing on February 27th, 2026, which is amazing, and we’ll get Articuno and Moltres a little later on. I can’t wait to try them all out!
Zapdos arrives on February 27th, followed by two new Legendary Pokémon
Okay, so The Pokémon Company just announced the next Pokémon coming to Pokémon UNITE – it’s Zapdos! It’s a super strong Electric-type Legendary Bird, which is awesome. I can’t wait to try it out!
Zapdos, once a Pokémon you could only catch in the wild, will soon be a playable character this month. Articuno and Moltres will also become playable, but we don’t have dates for their release yet.
I’m really excited about the new Pokémon releases, particularly that Zapdos will now be a playable character instead of just appearing in the wild. Since Zapdos was already a powerful wild Pokémon, this should make the game even more enjoyable and interesting.
We’re also introducing a new feature called Battle Moves with this update. Starting February 27th, you can choose which moves your Pokémon will learn while battling. This will make it easier to decide what to teach them, even during intense moments!
