Pokémon Unite Ho-Oh Movesets

Ho-Oh functions as a defensive Pokemon with long-range capabilities in Pokémon Unite, capable of providing sustained support to allies. Its arsenal includes moves that not only heal but also boost the attacking power of team members.

Ho-Oh’s Unite move is particularly noteworthy in team fights as it allows Ho-Oh to revive teammates, adding an extra layer of difficulty when going up against this Pokemon. Essentially, Ho-Oh brings a significant amount of offense, healing capabilities, and crowd control to the table, making it an effective team defender.

Basic Attack

Every third attack unleashes a powerful, flaming sweep that deals more damage and refills some of the user’s health. The greater the number of opponents hit by this enhanced move, the more HP is recovered.

Passive: Regenerator

Should a Pokémon go unharmed by enemy Pokémon for a specified duration, its health points will gradually be restored.

Ability 1 – Tailwind

The user generates a swirling gust of wind in the chosen direction, inflicting harm on adversary Pokémon in its path. This wind vortex persists on the battlefield for a brief duration.

When a Pokémon moves with the rotation of the whirlwind, its speed is boosted. However, if a Pokémon goes against the direction of the whirlwind, its speed is slowed down instead.

Ability Choices at Level 5

Upon reaching Level 5, Ho-Oh can select either of the following two moves:

FlamethrowerSky Attack
It has the user blown flames in the designated direction, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits. This move’s cooldown increases the longer the user blows flames. If the user hits Pokémon from the opposing team with this move, the user recovers HP. If the user continues to hit opposing Pokémon with this move, the Pokémon are burned, decreasing their movement speed. When the burned Pokémon moves, it will leave behind scorched ground will also be burned, decreasing their movement speed. The skill has the user spread its wings and charge, then return to its original position, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon it hits and burning the ground along its flight path for a short time. Burning ground deals damage to opposing Pokémon and applies a slowing effect. When this move is used again, or if another move is used mid-charge, the user stops in place.
Upgrade: Increases the length of time the user can continue to blow flames and reduces this move’s cooldown.Upgrade: Also gradually restores the user’s HP while the user is on burning ground.

Ability 2 – Safeguard

With this ability, the user can generate a shield, lessening the impact of incoming attacks. Each time the shield mitigates damage, the user gains a temporary boost in movement speed.

Ability Choices at Level 7

At Level 7, either of these two moves becomes available:

FlyFire Spin
The skill has the user fly higher, allowing it to move freely over walls, and increasing its movement speed and Attack. After using this move, the user’s next three basic attacks become boosted attacks. When this move is used again, the user lands on the ground forcefully, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokémon. The skill has the user generate a blazing vortex around itself, dealing damage and applying a slowing effect to opposing Pokémon it hits. The user redirects a portion of damage taken by ally Pokémon inside the vortex to itself. At the start of this move, the user receives a shield effect. This move ends if the user loses this shield.

While the user is still shielded, if a set amount of time passes or if this move is used again, the user releases a heat wave around itself that deals damage to opposing Pokémon. The more damage the user takes while the shielding effect is active, the more damage this heat wave deals.

Upgrade: Increases the length of time the user can fly.Upgrade: Automatically release a heat wave when the user’s shield is lost.

Unite Move – Rekindling Flame

As a gamer, when one of my nearby allies in Pokémon gets knocked out during a battle, I’m left with a sense of disappointment. But then, for a brief moment, a feather appears at its spot as a sign of hope. With a deep breath and a determined look, I spread my Pokémon’s wings wide open, absorbing all the Aeos energy it can muster. As more energy flows into me, more allies begin to rise from their fainted state, returning to the battlefield at the very feathers where they fell. The more energy I consume, the more allies are revived and ready to fight once again.

Pokémon Unite Ho-Oh Gameplay Tips

As a huge fan of Pokémon Unite, I’d be happy to share my insights on how to effectively play Ho-Oh throughout the entire match. This guide will cover strategies and game plans for this powerful Pokémon.

Early Game

As a long-time Pokémon trainer with years of experience under my belt, I strongly believe that the decision to place Ho-Oh in your team composition hinges greatly on the synergy with your other Pokémon. Since Ho-Oh doesn’t evolve, its positioning in the battlefield becomes crucial.

As a seasoned Pokémon trainer with years of battles under my belt, I can’t stress enough the importance of utilizing every tool at your disposal during a fight. And one such tool that has proven to be invaluable, especially for leveling up your APIs, is Tailwind.

During team fights and against challenging Wild Pokemon like Drednaw and Rotom, Ho-Oh could benefit from using Safeguard to enhance its resilience. At level 5, it’s recommended to learn Flamethrower for effortless pursuit and attacking of wild Pokemon. An alternative option is Sky Attack, which offers increased mobility and substantial burst damage. The choice ultimately depends on the desired combination strategy.

  • Flamethrower + Fly
  • Sky Attack + Fire Spin

Late Game

As I reach Level 7, Ho-Oh presents me with an exciting decision: which ability should I pair with the one I already have at Level 5? The best combo will allow Ho-Oh to truly shine and give my enemies a run for their money. Once I’ve made my choice, I can unleash Hu-Oh’s full potential and lead my team to victory.

  • First and foremost, players should not venture alone, not especially into the enemy territory.
  • Due to the nature of Ho-Oh’s role, it is advisable to always stay close to allies to support and aid them in battle.
  • Take advantage of Ho-Oh passive as it would essentially reduce Ho-Oh’s recalls and make it more available to be with allies.
