Story Highlights
- Pokémon UNITE launches its 2026 esports season with Europe‘s regional league.
- Eight invited European teams compete for $160,000 and two World Championship slots.
The 2026 competitive gaming season for Pokémon UNITE kicks off with three tournaments held on three different continents. The first of these, the Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 Europe (EU) League, starts this week and will feature eight invited teams competing online.
The tournament is offering a good prize pool, and the top two teams will automatically qualify for the world championship. Now that the MOBA game is about to begin, here are the event details.
Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 (EU) League: Schedule and Format
We’re hosting three separate events, each focused on a different region. These events will feature exclusive, invite-only teams competing for significant prizes. Each event will be divided into two stages.
The competition will begin with a double round robin phase. Teams will face each other twice in a best-of-three format. Once this phase is complete, the playoffs will begin.

As a huge fan, I’m so excited for the Playoffs! It’s going to be a Best of 5 series, which means the first team to win three games moves on. It all starts with the teams that finished fourth and fifth going head-to-head. Then, the winner of that match will play the next highest-ranked team, and it’ll keep going like that until we have a champion! It’s a really simple, straightforward bracket, and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.
Okay, so here’s the deal: the two teams that finish first and second in this event automatically qualify for the 2026 World Championship. It’s happening around the middle of 2026, so we’ve got some time to prep!
Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2026 EU: Prize Pool
The event offers a solid prize pool of $160,000 for participating teams. Prizes will be awarded based on each team’s final ranking. Here’s how the prize money will be distributed:
