As a long-time Pokémon enthusiast and collector of physical TCG cards, I am beyond thrilled that the release date for Pokémon TGC Pocket has finally been announced! October 30 can’t come fast enough. The thought of having my beloved card game right at my fingertips, without needing a storage unit to house my ever-growing collection, is simply exhilarating.
Pokémon TGC Pocket finally has a release date.
The Pokémon Company has revealed that the mobile version of Pokémon TCG, titled Pokémon TCG Pocket, is scheduled to launch on October 30. This exciting card-collecting game was initially unveiled during Pokémon Day back in February.
In simple terms, this mobile game is set to make the beloved Pokémon Trading Card Game available on iPhone (iOS) and Android devices. When it launches, players can expect both virtual replicas of real TCG cards and unique in-app cards to collect.
What is Pokémon TGC Pocket?
The upcoming Pokémon TCG Pocket is set to offer a fresh digital spin on the classic Pokémon Card game. Meanwhile, there’s already Pokémon TCG Live, an online platform that mirrors the card game experience as well.
Using TGC Pocket is similar to personally gathering cards, but with the advantage of not requiring a compact storage space for your continually expanding card collection!
You’ll have the pleasure of unwrapping booster packs, gathering unique cards much like you would in a physical setting. However, it won’t stop there. New “immersive cards” are set to debut within Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket. These cards will provide players with the sensation of stepping into the world depicted on their cards.

Is Pokémon TGC Pocket free?
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m excited to share that TGC Pocket is a forthcoming mobile game, absolutely free! Each day, you’ll get the chance to open not one, but two Booster Packs gratis. Of course, for those who want to speed up their collection growth, there will be options to purchase additional Booster Packs and Boxes right within the game.
In addition, this application offers a feature where you can challenge other users. You’ll encounter swift battles with simplified regulations compared to the traditional Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) combat system.
If it seems like a game you can’t wait to play, you can pre-register for Pokémon TGC pocket on the Apple App Store or Google Play right now. It has also been announced that New Zealand will have a soft launch, but no specific date has been given yet, except that it will be before October 30.
