DeNA has announced that it will be shutting down its fantasy RPG, Pokémon Masters EX, in Vietnam on November 27, 2024, and in Indonesia on January 28. Players in those regions will be able to continue playing until those dates.

Pokémon Masters EX will be running all its services as it is until its EOS in Vietnam and Indonesia

Pokémon Masters EX is a fantasy role-playing game where you battle using turns, set in the world of Pokémon. You’ll team up with famous trainers like Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, Champions, and even characters from past games to go on exciting adventures.

Personalize your character and connect with Trainers from both the Hisui and Paldea regions! At the Trainer Lodge, you can take memorable photos together, and hatch Eggs to discover new Pokémon. Build a powerful team by collecting Pokémon and Trainers, then compete in thrilling team battles.

As we previously announced, the game will no longer be available in Vietnam starting in November 2024, and in Indonesia beginning in January 2026. You’ll still be able to play with all features until the official shutdown date. After that, the game will be unplayable, even if you have it installed, just like with other games that have stopped service.

Players were concerned the game might be cancelled, even outside of Japan. Hopefully, that won’t happen because it’s a particularly rewarding “Gacha game,” and adding more content would keep players interested. The good news is the international version is still being updated, so there’s no immediate cause for concern.
