Pokémon GO’s Harvest Festival returns and debuts Shiny Smoliv

As a seasoned gamer who has been playing Pokémon GO since its inception, I must say that the return of the Harvest Festival has always been a cause for excitement. This year, with the introduction of Shiny Smoliv and an increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo, it’s safe to say that Niantic has outdone themselves yet again.

The Harvest Festival is back in Pokémon GO.

This year, the Harvest Festival returns in Pokémon GO, marking the debut of the coveted Shiny Smoliv within the game. Additionally, players may find it easier to capture a Shiny Pumpkaboo, along with other enticing event rewards.

The Harvest Festival takes place between Thursday, November 7, and Tuesday, November 12. As is customary, it begins at 10am and concludes at 8pm in the local time zone.

Pokémon GO Harvest Festival Event Bonuses

There are a range of event bonuses during this event. They are:

  • 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Pumpkaboo.
  • Mossy Lure Modules will attract different Pokémon during the event, such as Alolan Exeggutor, Snorlax, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv.

Capturing a Shiny Pumpkaboo is a wish for many Pokemon enthusiasts, and this event offers an excellent opportunity to add one to your collection if you haven’t managed to catch one yet.

If you’re after some Mossy Lure Modules, a great way to get your hands on ‘Premium’ Lure Modules is as a reward for doing well in PokéStop Showcases. There are Showcases every Saturday to Sunday, then Monday to Wednesday.

With the first appearance of Smoliv, there’s now an opportunity for all these Pokemon to be found in their shiny forms. This special occasion presents a perfect moment to go on a hunt and collect some rare, shiny Pokemon for your personal collection.

Other event features

Every time an event rolls around in Pokémon GO, there’s always a plethora of activities to dive into. This event is no exception, featuring a Paid Timed Research for $2. Here’s what you can expect from this research:
