As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent catching ’em all, the return of The Psychic Spectacular to Pokémon GO has me downright ecstatic! With the introduction of Dynamax Max Battles, this year’s event is shaping up to be a mind-blowing experience.
The Psychic Spectacular is back.
This year, the sensational Psychic event known as The Psychic Spectacular returns to Pokémon GO, introducing for the first time an innovative debut and a unique event centered around Dynamax Max Battles.
The captivating event known as The Psychic Spectacular begins on September 18 at 10 in the morning, and continues until September 22 at 8 in the evening. Please note that all times are adjusted according to your respective local time zones.
Here’s everything the event has to offer:
Pokémon GO Psychic Spectacular Bonuses
The following bonuses will be in effect:
- 2× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- Additional Candy for Nice Throws or better.
- Increased chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL for successfully catching Pokémon with Nice Throws or better.
Hatenna to debut
In The Psychic Spectacular event, we’ll introduce Hatenna, the Tranquil Pokémon, for the first time in the game. Alongside Hatenna, its evolutions will also make their grand entrance! To transform 25 Hatenna Candies into Hattrem, and subsequently evolve Hattrem into Hatterene using 100 Hatenna Candies, you’ll be able to do so during this event.
Dynamax Beldum debuts
In addition to this, we’re excited to introduce our first Pokémon GO event themed around Dynamax Max Battles. Specifically, Beldum will make its appearance in three-star Max Battles. Consequently, Dynamax forms of Beldum, Metang, and Metagross are now part of the game. Notably, a victorious Max Battle could result in you encountering a shiny Beldum!

Psychic Spectacular Field Research Task Rewards
Field Research tasks themed around events will become accessible. Encountering Morelull through Field Research increases the likelihood that it will be Shiny, as opposed to finding one in its natural habitat.

Event Paid Timed Research
