Pokémon GO Max Out: What we know so far

As a veteran gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming season of Pokémon GO, Max Out, has me more than just a little excited! The focus on the Galar Region and the introduction of Dynamax and Gigantamax are features that fans have been clamoring for, so it’s refreshing to finally see them being implemented.

What’s coming in the next season of Pokémon GO?

In the forthcoming season of Pokémon GO, dubbed as “Max Out,” we can anticipate a focus on the Galar Region, marking what appears to be one of the most significant transformations in the game for quite some time.

Next season brings a host of exciting new features that you’ll be eagerly anticipating. Starting from September 3, at 10am in your local timezone, the Pokémon GO Max Out event kicks off.

Although Niantic hasn’t officially revealed the full schedule yet, they’ve been dropping hints and sharing tidbits of info with us. Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

Pokémon GO Max Out will introduce Dynamax and Gigantamax to the game

Among the significant highlights anticipated during the upcoming Max Out season, we have Dynamax and Gigantamax features. These exciting additions were officially announced for the forthcoming season through a teaser shared post-Pokémon World Championships finale.

As a gamer, I’ve been eagerly anticipating the arrival of these two long-awaited game features, ever since they first made their appearance in Sword and Shield. Fans like me can hardly wait to get back into the swing of things with this classic mechanic that we’ve missed dearly!

It’s been confirmed that Dynamax in Pokémon GO incorporates unique abilities of each Pokémon. Moreover, you’ll discover specific locations or Power Spots on the map where you can engage these Pokémon in battle. To activate Dynamax for a Pokémon, you will require Max Particles.

See below for full details on everything we know about Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokémon GO:

Morpeko will debut, as will form changes

During the Max Out event, Morpeko, a new Pokémon, will join Pokémon GO. In its debut, it will have both its Full Belly and Hangry forms available, making it the first Pokémon capable of transforming between forms during battle right within the game.

It appears that a path may be opening up for additional Pokémon such as Mimyku and Zen Form Darmanitan to potentially join the game soon.

Pokémon GO Max Out will focus on Galar Region

In the world of Pokémon GO, attention has been shifted away from the Galar Region to focus on the Paldea Region instead. As of now, only about 18% of the total Galar Pokémon have been introduced into the game. Many of these released Pokémon are Regional Variants such as Galarian Darmanitan and Galarian Stunfisk, while a majority are legendary creatures.

In Pokémon GO Max Out, you can anticipate numerous new debuts beyond Morpeko, with many more on the horizon. It’s been some time since we experienced a flurry of introductions into the game. Most of the Shared Skies debuts have primarily been concealed within Eggs or Research tasks. With such a large number of upcoming debuts, get ready for a significant shift in spawns during the next season of Pokémon GO.

Galar Starters confirmed for Pokémon GO Max Out

After a considerable wait, it’s now official that the starters from the Galar region of Pokémon will be making an appearance in Max Out.

This teaser also shows a huge Dynamaxed Pokémon, but who is it?

Zacian and Zamazenta to return – but which form?

One thing we do already have in Pokémon GO from the Galar region is legendaries. We already have seen the debut of Pokémon like Zacian, Zamazenta, Eturnatus and mythical Zarude.

Pokémon GO Max Out: What we know so far

Since August 2022, neither Zacian nor Zamazenta, or their Battle Hero forms, have appeared in Pokémon GO. Yet, it’s anticipated that these legendary Pokémon will make a comeback during this season. With the introduction of new form changes, there’s speculation about whether we’ll encounter the Battle Hero forms. Originally thought to be released as separate Pokémon, they might now appear via unique moves similar to Morpeko.

In summary, there’s plenty of thrilling material ahead in Pokémon GO Max Out. Keep an eye out for further announcements regarding the upcoming season of Pokémon GO.
