Pokémon GO Max Out: What we know so far

As a veteran Pokemon GO player with years of catching ’em all under my belt, I can confidently say that the upcoming Max Out season is shaping up to be a game-changer! The Galar Region focus and the introduction of Dynamax and Gigantamax features have been long-awaited by the community. The teaser after the World Championships was like manna from heaven for us fans!

What’s coming in the next season of Pokémon GO?

In the upcoming season of Pokémon GO, we’ll be immersed in a new adventure dubbed “Max Out”. This season promises to focus on the captivating Galar Region, potentially delivering one of the most significant overhauls to the game in recent memory.

Next season offers a multitude of exciting aspects to anticipate! Starting from September 3, at 10am in your local time zone, the Pokémon GO Max Out event will commence.

Although Niantic hasn’t officially revealed all the details, they’ve been giving us hints and tidbits. Here’s what we’ve managed to gather thus far.

Pokémon GO Max Out will introduce Dynamax and Gigantamax to the game

During the upcoming season, Max Out will introduce two significant additions – Dynamax and Gigantamax. These new features have been officially confirmed following a trailer release post the Pokémon World Championships.

The following two aspects have been frequently demanded by players as they eagerly anticipate returning to a feature that was initially introduced in Sword and Shield.

It’s been confirmed that Dynamax in Pokémon GO includes unique abilities specific to each Pokémon. Furthermore, strategic locations on the map will serve as battlegrounds for these Pokémon. To activate Dynamax, you’ll require Max Particles.

See below for full details on everything we know about Dynamax and Gigantamax in Pokémon GO:

Morpeko will debut, as will form changes

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that during the Max Out event in Pokémon GO, Morpeko is joining the action! This unique Pokémon will enter the game, ready to switch between its Full Belly and Hangry forms on the spot, making its debut a historic one as it’s the first Pokémon able to change form during battle. Can’t wait to see it in action!

It appears that such a development might open doors for additional Pokemon, such as Mimyku and Zen Form Darmanitan, to be integrated into the game in the upcoming period.

Pokémon GO Max Out will focus on Galar Region

As a dedicated Pokémon GO player, I can’t help but feel a tinge of disappointment that my beloved Galar Region seems to have taken a backseat to the Paldea Region in terms of representation in the game. At present, only about one-fifth of the total Galar Pokémon roster, approximately 20 species, have been introduced into the game. Among these, most are Regional Variants such as Galarian Darmanitan and Galarian Stunfisk, with the remaining majority being legendary Pokémon.

As an enthusiastic fan, I’m thrilled to share that we can anticipate a plethora of new debuts, going beyond Morpeko, in the world of Pokémon GO: Max Out! It’s been some time since we’ve seen such a flurry of introductions into the game. Many of the Shared Skies debuts have been hidden away behind Eggs or Research tasks. With so many exciting additions on the horizon, prepare yourself for a significant shift in spawn patterns during the upcoming season in Pokémon GO!

Zacian and Zamazenta to return – but which form?

In Pokémon GO from the Galar region, legendary Pokémons like Zacian, Zamazenta, Eternatus, and the mythical Zarude are already available for players to encounter.

As a devoted Pokémon GO enthusiast, I must admit that it’s been quite some time since we last encountered Zacian and Zamazenta in the game – all the way back to August 2022. Their Hero of Many Battles forms have also remained elusive within the digital realm. However, the anticipation is palpable as we eagerly await their return this season.

In essence, there’s plenty of thrilling material to anticipate as we approach Pokémon GO Max Out. Keep an eye out for updates about the upcoming season of Pokémon GO.
