This event is set to take place from August 15th to 17th, 2025, right in the heart of Anaheim, California.

Pokémon Go World Championships 2025: Schedule and Format
The competition commences on August 15, 2025, and continues for the subsequent three days, culminating in the selection of the world champion team. On the initial day of the event, there will be double elimination matches until only the top 32 contestants are left standing.
The following day will follow the same structure until we reach the grand finals. On the third day of the tournament, the final match will take place. All remaining players will face off against each other in the grand final. Each match leading up to the grand final will be a best-of-three (BO3), whereas the grand final itself will be a best-of-five (BO5). The event will conclude on August 17, 2025, after we crown the world champion.
Participating Teams
To begin with, we currently understand that 32 teams will initially participate. Through multiple draws, this number will gradually decrease until only two remain for the climactic final match, often referred to as the ultimate showdown. Following this grand finals, the victorious competitor will be recognized and celebrated as the champion of the event.

A total sum of $77,000 will be allocated to the competitors based on their standings in the tournament, as follows:
