Niantic has formally disclosed the timing and venues for Pokemon GO Fest 2025. This yearly extravaganza honoring the widely-loved augmented reality game is scheduled to introduce fresh Pokémon, exclusive fan merchandise, special perks for attendees, and numerous other exciting features.
2021’s occasion will offer live get-togethers in three primary urban areas alongside a world-wide event open to participants globally. The initial festival is set for late May, which is a month prior to the worldwide event concluding.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025 dates and schedule
Live gatherings are scheduled to occur in Japan, the USA, and France across various weekends in May and June. Each event will last for a span of three days.

The event features two park activities spread across the day. In the morning, there’s a session known as the “Morning Park Activity” that lasts from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., following local time. Later on, in the afternoon, you can join the “Afternoon Park Activity” which runs from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., also based on local time.
As a gamer, I’d say: “If you can’t make it to any of the three real-life events, don’t worry! There’s a virtual global event happening on June 28 and 29 that you won’t want to miss. It promises an unforgettable adventure, right from your living room, no matter where in the world you are.
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Important Highlights
Debut of Volcanion and early access to Zacian
A significant feature of Pokémon GO Fest 2025 is the introduction of Volcanion, the Steam Pokémon, within the game. By buying tickets, players will gain entry to unique Special Research missions, offering them a chance to meet Volcanion in person.
Furthermore, those participating in face-to-face gatherings will enjoy early privileges, as they can capture the exclusive forms of Crowned Shield Zacian and Crowned Sword Zamazenta, before these special variants become available to a larger audience.
Event Bonuses and Accessories
Just like in past years, the ticket purchasers are set to enjoy exclusive benefits during the event such as special bonuses, higher rates for scarcely found Pokémon, and distinct field research missions. This worldwide event invites all players to participate, but those who buy tickets ahead of time will receive extra advantages. Purchasing early grants additional rewards, although tickets can still be bought up until the last day of the event.
This year, you have an opportunity to get special clothing and trinkets. However, these items need to be collected at the park during the event on the date specified on your ticket. If you’ve already bought your ticket but neglected to include merchandise in your purchase, don’t worry – you can still add some while supplies are available.
An exclusive collection of backpacks themed around Pikachu, Gengar, or Wobbuffet has been introduced. These backpacks come with a complimentary in-game character avatar item. However, please note that the availability is currently limited to Jersey City and Paris; they are not available in Osaka at this time.
