Pokémon GO announce a series of global GO Fest themed events

Get ready for three super exciting Pokémon GO events this summer.

Niantic has revealed a lineup of events scheduled for Pokémon GO over the summer, coinciding with three real-world GO Fest events. These events offer exciting debuts of Gigantamax creatures, enhanced chances for finding shiny Pokémon, and bonuses for hatching eggs. This presents an excellent opportunity for trainers to prepare for the Global GO Fest, as well as enjoying some Pokémon GO fun during their visits to Osaka, New Jersey, or Paris this summer.

Here’s everything you need to know about the three events this summer.

All three Pokémon GO Fest themed events

Serene Retreat

The initial gathering is called “Serene Retreat” and it takes place starting on Friday, May 30th, 10:00 a.m., and concludes on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., all according to local time.

At this upcoming event, you’ll find Snorlax, Chimecho, and Furfrou, along with an enhanced chance of discovering or hatching Shiny Morelull and Shiny Munna. The first appearance of Gigantamax Rillaboom will take place during six-star Max Battles from May 31, 2025, at 6:00 a.m., to June 1, 2025, at 9:00 p.m., in your local time zone.

Event bonuses are:

  • 1/2 Hatch Distance
  • 1.5× Hatch XP
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Increased chance to hatch Shiny Munna and encounter Shiny Munna in research task rewards
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Morelull in the wild and in research task rewards

For the entire duration of the event, holders of Serene Retreat tickets can enjoy additional perks as well.

Those who have purchased a Serene Retreat ticket will be entitled to extra benefits during the event’s run.

  • 1.5× Hatch Stardust

Instrumental Wonders

The second event following Pokémon GO Fest is called Instrumental Wonders, which will take place from Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m., running up until Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 at 8:00 p.m., all in your local time zone. During this period, Chimecho, Beldum, Falinks and other Pokémon will appear. Additionally, the likelihood of encountering shiny versions of Ferroseed and Falinks will be increased.

Starting on Saturday, June 7th, at 6:00 am, and continuing until Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at 9:00 pm (local time), the first appearance of Gigantamax will be Cinderace in six-star Max Battles.

The event bonuses are:

  • Additional 5,000 XP awarded for successful raids
  • Max Particle collection limit increased to 1,600
  • 8× Max Particles from Power Spots
  • Increased chance to encounter Shiny Ferroseed and Shiny Falinks

Holders of Instrumental Wonders tickets will additionally enjoy these benefits during the entirety of the event.

  • 2× Raid Stardust

Phantom Ruins

The third and last Pokémon GO event taking place concurrently with GO Fest Paris is called Phantom Ruins. This event will run from Saturday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m., to Wednesday, June 18th, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., according to local time.

Sableye is among the group of Pokémon that are being highlighted, which also includes Drilbur, Phantump, and Rhyhorn. Inteleon will make its Gigantamax debut during Max Battles this weekend, from Saturday, June 14th at 6:00 a.m., through Sunday, June 15th, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. local time.
