Great news for Pokémon fans: FireRed and LeafGreen are coming to the Nintendo Switch! While both games tell the same story and take place in the same region, they each have unique Pokémon you can catch. So, the big question is: which version should you choose?
Differences between Pokémon LeafGreen and FireRed
Although the stories and visuals are identical in both games, there are a few key differences to consider before you buy one.

Which one should you get?
Choosing between the two versions really comes down to what you prefer. The main differences between the games are the Pokémon Growlithe and Arcanine, which are only available in FireRed, and Vulpix and Ninetales, which are exclusive to LeafGreen.
As a Pokémon fan, it was always tough choosing between Scyther and Pinsir back in the day! You could only get Scyther in FireRed, and Pinsir was exclusive to LeafGreen, so you really had to pick which version you wanted based on which Pokémon you preferred.
No matter which version of the game you pick, you can trade with a friend who has the other version to collect all the Pokémon and finish your Pokédex.
