During the Pokémon Presents event on February 27th, 2025, it was announced that a new game called Pokémon Champions would be released. This game, focused on battles, is being developed by Game Freak, known for creating numerous Poke-RPGs, with The Pokémon Company overseeing the development process.

It seems that the game is going to incorporate mechanics similar to Pokemon, such as types, abilities, and moves, resulting in combat experiences reminiscent of the main series.
