Henshaw has been open about struggling with whether or not she wanted to have children.
In her podcast series titled “Do I Want Kids?” a year ago, she openly acknowledged that her struggle with indecision had been tough for her.
‘I felt ashamed about it,’ she told ELLE magazine at the time.
In our current society, it’s generally expected that people will have children, implying a culture where childbearing is a significant aspect.
In the blink of an eye, my friends shifted their conversations from birth control to pregnancy and parenthood. It left me wondering, why am I not at that stage yet?
2023 found Laura expressing worries that the clock was ticking as she considered starting a family, but she also expressed apprehension regarding the prospect of having a child.
In her article for Marie Claire, she acknowledged achieving some societal milestones, but as she nears her 31st birthday, the most challenging issue she’s grappling with is the undeniable biological truth that her fertility is diminishing with age. She also emphasized that she isn’t the only one facing this concern.
After Dalton, Laura’s spouse, shared the reason behind his choice to adopt her surname following their wedding in 2021.

During an Instagram Q&A, one fan asked the Keep it Cleaner co-founder why he changed his surname.
‘Why did Dalton change his last name?’
Laura then shared a video of Dalton explaining that he had always been open to the idea.
‘The core reason why, is that it was always a conversation for me and it always has been,’ he said.
In my upbringing, nothing was taken for granted, whether it was in a conventional setting where women typically adopt their husband’s last name or not.
He continued: ‘In this case it was always a conversation and that lead to me taking Laura’s name.’
Dalton also explained his choice after the couple’s wedding in 2021.
At that moment, he posted on Instagram: “Feel free to address me as Dalton, Dalt, or even Dolphin – I remain unchanged, and I always will.
I’ll be wrapping up one story and starting a new one, my lovely, ambitious, and inspiring spouse by my side, known as Mr. Henshaw.
It appears that Dalton’s unconventional choice was a demonstration of his affection and admiration towards his spouse, yet it also suggested that he felt a dislike towards the surname Graham.
‘P.S. mildly excited to break the shackles of two first names #TheHenshaws,’ he said.
