Get ready to experience quiet suspense while spotting changes in living paintings in Please Watch The Artwork
In this intriguing, art-themed game titled “Spot the Difference: A Psychological Journey,” you’ll be immersed in the captivating world of Edward Hopper’s masterpieces. The game takes place within the vibrant setting of the Museum of Animated Modern Art (MaMA). In this role, you will assume the role of a night guard, tasked with closely observing paintings that seem to come alive on their own, and reporting any subtle changes that occur.
Although the game doesn’t have jump scares or monsters, it still manages to make you feel uneasy due to its subtle build-up of suspense that can leave you feeling paranoid, melancholic, and isolated. And if you have a fear of clowns, be prepared, as there is one in this game – a sad, wandering clown.
Monitor, zoom, and spot changes in over 40 paintings across six levels
In terms of gameplay, it’s straightforward: You’ll be observing via surveillance cameras, zooming in to identify any discrepancies, and reporting your findings. However, what truly captivates me is the structure of six levels, each featuring more than 40 renowned Hopper paintings categorized by theme, as well as three different difficulty settings.
Reminiscent of games such as Five Nights at Freddy’s,
Looking forward to it! “The Artwork” game is slated for release across platforms including Android, iOS, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Pre-order the game on Steam if you’re interested. At this time, we don’t have a specific launch date but will keep you posted with updates soon!
