Confirmed: Saros Gameplay Reveal

I’m so hyped! Sony just announced on their blog that they’re dropping almost five minutes of gameplay for Housemarque’s new game, Saros! As you might remember, Sony bought Housemarque after their amazing game *Returnal* in 2021. This new game is a third-person action title coming in 2026, and we’ll be playing as Soltari Enforcer Arjun Devraj, who’s sent to investigate a colony on another planet. Can’t wait to see more!

PlayStation State of Play September 2025 Predictions and Rumors

State of Play livestreams often spark speculation and hopeful predictions. Here’s a look at some fan theories and our own expectations for what will be revealed on September 24th.

Resident Evil 9 Trailer

A new trailer for *Resident Evil 9: Requiem* is likely to be shown at the Sony State of Play event on September 24th. According to Resident Evil news source AestheticGamer, the trailer will confirm that Leon Kennedy is a key character in the new game.

Okay, so I’m starting to think Capcom is *doing* this on purpose. Everyone’s been buzzing about why our main guy hasn’t shown up in any of the Resident Evil 9 trailers, and honestly, it feels like they’re intentionally building hype by keeping him a mystery. It’s a classic move, and it’s definitely got people talking!

Resident Evil 9: Requiem is due for release on Feb. 26 across console and PC.

New Stellar Blade DLC Tease

Many fans are predicting a new *Stellar Blade* DLC announcement at the Sony State of Play event on September 24th. This speculation comes after the official *Stellar Blade* social media account shared a mysterious, spooky image on September 20th, accompanied by the message “in one week.”

Considering the visual style of the screenshot and the recent announcement of a Resident Evil collaboration for Shift Up’s mobile game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, we believe a Resident Evil DLC for Stellar Blade is likely.

Shift Up previously announced a collaboration between NieR: Automata and Stellar Blade at the State of Play event in September 2024, and a year later, they’re building on that announcement.

Sony didn’t just publish Stellar Blade; they also helped fund its creation. This happened after a playable demo impressed Shuhei Yoshida, a former executive at Sony.

Final Fantasy Reborn or FF9 Remake

Beyond news about Resident Evil, there’s a chance Sony could also reveal the first trailer for *Final Fantasy VII: Reborn*, which is the last part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake series.

Many Final Fantasy fans, including myself, are hoping for a remake of Final Fantasy 9. This isn’t based on any inside information – we simply want it to happen!

Insomnia Games’ Wolverine

There’s a lot of talk online, especially on YouTube, about the possibility of finally seeing gameplay footage for Insomniac Games’ Wolverine game. This game was originally announced four years ago, but Insomniac confirmed in April that development is still underway.

The upcoming Wolverine game from Insomniac Games will be set in the same universe as their Spider-Man games, specifically in Earth-1048. However, it will tell its own separate story and is currently planned to be available only on PlayStation 5.

Aside from some details that were unfortunately leaked in 2023, Insomniac Games hasn’t revealed much about the Wolverine game. Is it finally time for an update?

We’ll share the news from Sony’s State of Play in September 2025, but for the complete reveal, be sure to watch the live stream!
