It’s possible that there isn’t a formally developed sequel to Star Wars Battlefront 2 in production at the moment. However, due to this gap, some enthusiastic fans have stepped up to create their own follow-up to the much-adored 2017 version of the game. Star Wars Battlefront and Battlefront 2 were significant additions to the Star Wars gaming library, offering players an opportunity to fire blasters and wield lightsabers in various parts of the universe, fighting for the faction they preferred. The second installment, specifically, was highly appreciated by the Star Wars community due to its close connections with the movies, as numerous game missions were directly inspired by the first six films in the series.
Last year, Aspyr released updated versions of two games on contemporary platforms as the “Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection.” Despite its rocky debut, Electronic Arts (EA) hasn’t revealed any plans yet to expand the series further. If you’re a fan eager to pick up where the second game ended and can’t find an official way to do so, there’s good news! A mod for Star Wars Battlefront 3 is now accessible on Nexus Mods, allowing you to play it for free if you already own Battlefront 2.
Battlefield 3 Mod Has Enough Content For A New Game
With Even More Content Planned

This modification was crafted by a dedicated group of developers known as the Battlefront III Team, who are currently conducting Alpha testing on it. The expansion significantly enhances the original game by introducing an impressive 22 new lightsaber-wielding heroes (11 for each faction). As per their Roadmap, they aim to increase this number considerably, with more than 100 additional characters, including some fan favorites, set to join the roster.
This modification enhances the original game for increased replay value, maintaining an exciting experience by introducing Force Flips (aerial dashing and dodging) and quicker movement speed while in flight, known as Aerial Force Speed. Furthermore, all characters equipped with lightsabers receive a fourth skill to enrich lightsaber combat. The developers are planning to roll out further updates leading up to the mod’s Beta release.
Demand Is On The Rise For A Battlefront Sequel
This Mod Can Fill The Gap For Fans

The enthusiasm for a new installment of “Star Wars Battlefront 2” is stronger than ever, as the game has sparked renewed interest among its fanbase. A recent petition urging Electronic Arts (EA) to develop “Battlefront 3” has garnered over 9,000 signatures in just a week, indicating that EA should consider revisiting this cherished franchise.
As a passionate Star Wars Battlefront 2 enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! While we patiently await any official announcement from EA regarding a sequel, the community-driven “Battlefront 3” mod has emerged as a promising alternative. This homebrew project is brimming with content that rivals a brand-new game, and the team behind it continues to refine and expand upon it. Keep your eyes peeled on the mod’s page for updates about its progress – this could be the galactic adventure we’ve been waiting for!
