Planet Coaster 2 November Release Date Confirmed as Pre-Orders Go Live
As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of theme park simulator experience under my belt, the announcement of Planet Coaster 2 has sent a wave of excitement coursing through my virtual veins! The addition of water parks to this sequel is nothing short of a game-changer for me.
Frontier has revealed that the sequel to Planet Coaster, titled Planet Coaster 2, is set to release in November. It promises an expanded experience with increased roller coaster and theme park simulation, along with the new feature of water parks. Pre-purchasing the game is now available.
In the next version of Planet Coaster, you can expect an abundance of rides, water slides, and other exciting attractions, surpassing those found in the original game. The advanced design tools will empower you to construct vast amusement parks complete with swimming pools, scenic landscapes, and special effects using the innovative event sequencer. Choose from resort, aquatic, Viking, or mythology themes for your parks, and utilize user-friendly overviews like heatmaps to identify the requirements of your park and its guests.
You can also share your creations online, and jump in one at a time to a cross-platform shared Sandbox to work together on building a park. Blueprints can be shared and downloaded across all platforms, too, via the Frontier Workshop. Pre-ordering will also add the Bonus Ride Collection DLC with bonus rides, while a pre-order of the Deluxe Edition includes access to the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack with ten bonus rides.
The sequel to Planet Coaster, titled simply as “Planet Coaster 2”, is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on the 6th of November. The standard edition will retail for $49.99/£39.99/€49.99, while the Deluxe Edition will cost $64.99/£54.99/€64.99.
