The 2025 calendar was shot by shot by New York-based photographer Ethan James Green.
This show showcased a diverse cast including Hunter Schafer (model), Vincent Cassel (actor from La Haine), Simone Ashley (from Bridgerton), Jodie Turner-Smith (actress from The Neon Demon), Hoeyon Jung (South Korean model), Elodie Di Patrizi (Italian singer and model), Connie Fleming (model), Martine Gutierrez (visual artist), and Jenny Shimizu (American model).
In the 2025 calendar, Pirelli stated that the photographer aimed to not just photograph, but rather deeply convey and emphasize the core qualities of the subjects.

In reference to Ethan, it’s noted that his work explores topics like modern identity, sexuality, and fashion. His unique perspective and depth make his collection of work stand out distinctively.
Since 1964, Pirelli’s British division has been releasing an annual calendar that isn’t widely accessible because it isn’t sold but rather distributed as a present to famous personalities and exclusive Pirelli clients.
In 1987, Naomi Campbell featured on the calendar at just 16.
Stars such as Patti Smith, Serena Williams, Yoko Ono, Grimes, Alicia Vikander, St Vincent, Cara Delevingne, Emma Watson, Whoopi Goldberg, Nicole Kidman, and Iggy Pop are some of the many who have had their pictures taken.
Initially hinting at a shift in strategy, the tire company based in Italy made waves in 2017 with its revised calendars, proclaiming they would break traditional norms and redesign the eagerly awaited calendar with a fresh, feminist perspective.
This cover showcased the talented actresses Robin Wright, Julianne Moore, Charlotte Rampling, and Helen Mirren (at that time, they were 50, 55, 70, and 71 years old respectively). It was widely acclaimed for its portrayal of mature women.
The Pirelli calendar was historically known for its images of women in minimal clothing, steamy photoshoots, and bare-chested models.
Instead, the 2020 calendar featured celebrities like Emma Watson, Kristen Stewart, and Claire Foy portraying Shakespeare’s Juliet. They did so while dressed in a variety of garments such as denim jackets and period costumes, all while fully clothed.
The spread, captured by renowned fashion photographer Paolo Roversi, has been labeled as the most socially conscious Pirelli calendar ever produced.
2021 marked the first time since 1964 that the calendar wasn’t released, a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
60 years ago, the Pirelli Calendar celebrated its anniversary by featuring Prince Gyasi as the first black photographer, marking this historic milestone.
The work of a person from Ghana brought about Campbell’s reappearance in the schedule for the first time since 2018, and Idris Elba, who is well-known for his role in Luther, and Marcel Desailly, a former player for Chelsea and AC Milan, are both showcased within its pages.
