In 2017, the Ksubi designer unfortunately suffered injuries when he tumbled off a balcony on the third floor of a luxurious Parisian hotel.

The fall from multiple stories resulted in him breaking both legs and causing him to slip into a coma that lasted for eight days.

In 2018, Dan confirmed his split with Bambi on the 12-month anniversary of the balcony fall.
