Pink fans left in ‘shock’ over daughter Willow’s ‘amazing’ and ‘beautiful’ voice following DNC performance

As a mother, I can relate to Pink’s heartfelt emotions as I watch my own children grow and evolve. It’s a bittersweet journey, filled with pride and a touch of nostalgia for the days when they were small and dependent on me. Seeing Willow take the stage and chase her dreams on Broadway brings back memories of watching Pink soar high in Mamma Mia.

Fans of Pink were taken aback, or left feeling stunned, when her daughter Willow shared the stage with her at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Thursday.

13-year-old Willow left audiences spellbound by her vocal prowess. Her interpretation of the pop star’s 2017 hit single, “What About Us,” earned rave reviews, with listeners commending it as ‘extraordinary’.

On the final day of the event, the songwriter, who is 44 years old and has a teenage daughter who’s comfortable performing before a crowd, sang along with him as they delivered the lyrics.

Sharing their thoughts to X, those watching praised their ‘touching’ performance and hailed the teenagers voice ‘beautiful.’

Immediately following the young girl leaving her mother’s Summer Carnival Tour at age 13, they released a duet as she embarked on pursuing her love for theater independently.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m delighted to share that, much like myself, this talented artist is also a proud parent of a son and a daughter. My dear spouse, Carey Hart, and I have been partners since our wedding in 2006, and together we are blessed with a seven-year-old son named Jameson.

The matching pair, a mother and daughter, both wore black outfits that complemented each other beautifully, standing side by side beneath the vibrant stage spotlights.

She put on a strapless, corseted top of pink color, along with wide-legged, black pants held up by a stylish black and silver waist belt.

The fabric with folds was partly concealed at the back of the singer too, adding a fashionable flourish. She rounded off her ensemble by donning a pair of sleek black footwear.

Willow wore a simple, black top along with matching black trousers and combat-style boots, giving off a trendy, tough vibe.

The youngster has been treading the same path as her mother in the performing arts, and in the year 2018, she sang a rendition of the track “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman: Reworked.

In the year 2021, some time after her Grammy win, the artist and her child teamed up for a duet titled “Cover Me In Sunshine.” This tune climbed the charts in numerous nations, reaching the sixth position on the Australian (ARIA) chart.

Back in February, Willow joined her mom on stage during their Summer Carnival Tour in Australia. Notably, they performed “Cover Me In Sunshine” together.

Last year, back in chilly January, I couldn’t help but beam with pride as Pink publicly showcased a video of her then-11-year-old girl slaying an Olivia Rodrigo cover at her debut recital. It was a moment that had me buzzing!

Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour continues, and she’ll be performing in Chicago on Saturday, August 24th, at Soldier Field.

Her tour concludes on November 20th, taking place at the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

In June a while ago, the artist announced on her primary Instagram account that Willow would not be joining her tour due to her desire to delve deeper into the world of theater and follow her passion in that field.

In a video shared with her audience, Pink was seen engaged in a sincere chat with the teenager. She jokingly inquired, “Could you share everything with me? I can’t believe you’re departing. What on earth made you decide to do that?”

After that, the star inquired, ‘What plans do you have upon your return, and what are you excited about?’ Willow shared that she will be part of a stage performance titled ‘Bye Bye Birdie’.

And I exclaimed, “Who’s that individual?” You seemed enormous and your aura was six times as powerful. Incredible! I was utterly astonished.

Willow shared her aspiration of pursuing a career in theater and, someday, gracing the stage on Broadway.

Later on, Pink expressed to her daughter, ‘I admire that you’ve found your path and are determined to stay there, and I truly support that choice for you.’

As a lifestyle guide, I must share an insightful observation from the recent performance – a side of you that I hadn’t previously encountered emerged, and it was truly captivating! Witnessing your evolution over time never ceases to astound me.

Over the weekend, she announced that her upcoming performances would be the final ones on her current tour. She’s stepping back for a while to pursue her aspirations.

She added: ‘I promised I wouldn’t cry. I DID NOT however, promise I wouldn’t hyperventilate through our hug.’ 

The singer expressed that it’s remarkable yet poignant to witness their children maturing and moving on, but they’re incredibly proud, not just themselves, but everyone. They’ll deeply miss them. (Heart emoticons repeated for emphasis) 💗💗💗

Besides her busy summer schedule, Pink also attended Wimbledon last month, specifically in July.

The award-winning singer will also celebrate her 45th birthday next month on September 8.
