Piers Morgan has returned to filming his show in the wake of his health woes.
The 60-year-old actor recently had hip replacement surgery. He broke his thighbone after tripping on a step at a London hotel earlier this month.
Piers suffered an injury that will limit his movement for up to three months. Doctors recommend he avoid long flights for at least 12 weeks while he recovers from surgery, but he has been released from the Cromwell Hospital.
Okay, so things are back to normal – or as normal as they get! After a short stay at a private facility, I’m thrilled to be back filming ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored’. There’s just one little catch: I’m currently filming from my living room with my foot propped up on a cushion. It’s not ideal, but we’re making it work!
Piers shared a photo of his home studio and announced he’s back to work. He mentioned a new episode will be released tonight, and jokingly revealed he’s hosting from home with a new hip replacement.
Piers maintained his playful and resolute tone in the comments, posting ‘The show must go on!’ Meanwhile, his wife, journalist Celia Walden, shared a humorous observation: ‘Love is… those medical grip socks’.
He then shared the video online, titling it with a reference to the day’s topics: ‘“CAN’T Go On!” ICE Chaos + Trump NATO Slur | Featuring Piers Morgan’s Military Brother’.
The TV presenter seemed cheerful even after everything that happened, and playfully blamed Donald Trump in his original post as a joke.
I heard the story about Piers falling at a London hotel restaurant, and honestly, it sounds so like him! He apparently tripped over a tiny step and, in his own words, ‘fell like a sack of spuds.’ It’s just classic Piers – always a bit dramatic, even in a stumble!
People filled the comments with get-well messages, celebrating his funny personality and hoping he feels better soon. Even Fred Sirieix chimed in with a simple ‘jeez speedy recovery’.
Lorraine Kelly playfully wished him well, saying ‘Hope you’re okay!’, while Eamonn Holmes offered his sympathy and jokingly positioned himself as an expert, offering advice or a visit, along with a suggestion of Lucozade and grapes to help him recover.
Monty Panesar wrote: ‘Wishing you a quick recovery so you can celebrate Arsenal’s success!’
When Piers was recovering, his friend Amanda Holden generously gave him custom-made crutches worth £300 to help him get back on his feet.
This post echoes a previous one from 2019, when he was hospitalized with stomach issues and jokingly blamed vegan sausage rolls, Brexit, and Donald Trump.
Gastritis means the stomach lining is inflamed, and duodenitis refers to swelling in the duodenum, which is the beginning of the small intestine.
He revealed on Twitter that he’d been diagnosed with stomach and duodenal inflammation (gastritis and duodenitis). He jokingly blamed it on eating a vegan sausage roll, Brexit, and Donald Trump.
Let me tell you, I’ve been following this guy for a while, and his tweets are always hilarious. He recently shared this story, and I’m still chuckling. Basically, he joked that on Monday morning, he had just one bite of a vegan sausage roll. Then, by Friday morning, he was in the hospital getting a gastroscopy because his stomach was so inflamed! He ended it with, ‘I’m doing the maths,’ implying the sausage roll was somehow to blame. It’s a pretty funny way to put it, honestly.
