Pierce Brosnan SHOCKS Fans With His Pick for Next James Bond!
Currently, everyone who adores films is buzzing with speculation – which actor will be the one to slip into the legendary James Bond tuxedo next?
Ever since Daniel Craig declared that the 2021 Bond film, “No Time to Die,” would mark his final appearance as 007, I’ve found myself eagerly speculating about who might take on the iconic role next.
Several potential candidates have emerged for the part, with Idris Elba, known for his role in “Luther,” initially leading the pack, and Theo James from “The Gentleman” gaining favor among enthusiasts as their preferred actor.
As a die-hard James Bond fan, I can’t help but add my two cents to the ongoing speculation. You know who I’m talking about – Pierce Brosnan, the man who brought our beloved secret agent to life in five movies between 1995 and 2002. And guess what? He’s weighed in on the discussion!
Currently, the actor from GoldenEye, Pierce Brosnan, aged 72, has shared that he has his sights on a specific Hollywood star whom he thinks would excellently portray James Bond.

In an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, the Irishman was queried regarding the prospect of Aaron Taylor-Johnson donning a tuxedo.
‘I think he would make a very fine Bond,’ Pierce replied.
In one of my films titled “The Greatest,” it was this particular individual who was chosen to portray the main character.
‘Back then, he truly stood out. There was something about him – a charm, an aura – that made him shine. He seemed perfect for the role. However, there are numerous other candidates to consider as well.’
In 2022 and 2023, Aaron, aged 34, was frequently tipped as the favorite to portray the renowned secret agent, with many betting agencies placing him at the top of their predicted lists.
Initially, it was believed that the role of Godzilla was favored by Barbara Broccoli, a previous James Bond producer, prior to Amazon acquiring the franchise. Later, the production of the franchise was transferred to David Heyman and Emily Pascal.
After frequently dismissing discussions about becoming 007 when interviewed by journalists, Aaron’s chances have noticeably decreased.
‘It’s not really for me to say anything,’ he told Esquire.

However, speculations about the British individual resurfaced this week following what seemed like a significant clue that he might take on the role of James Bond.
Aaron recently joined the ranks of notable figures as an ambassador for the luxury watchmaker, Omega – a company that has supplied the timepieces worn by James Bond actors for three decades now.
As a devoted fan, I had the privilege of being the initial special agent to put on the Omega timepiece in the 1995 movie GoldenEye. Since then, our bond has grown stronger, and just as Pierce did, I’ve worn an Omega Seamaster watch throughout No Time To Die.
Ever since I sealed that deal, there’s been this uncontainable excitement bubbling within me! You see, I’ve always held a deep admiration for intricate timepieces, but my passion reaches new heights when it comes to the legendary brand – Omega.
After touring the factory, I’m truly amazed by the craftsmanship needed to produce such a high-end item.
The CEO of Omega referred to Aaron as an exceptionally adaptable actor, capable of portraying roles in genres ranging from action and suspense to romance and beyond.
However, according to recently published betting odds, two British actors have taken the lead over the actor previously favored for the top spot.
Among the top contenders for the upcoming Bond role is Theo James, famously known for his work in “The Divergent Series,” with odds of 6/4 in favor at present, and he’s 40 years old.

Previously, the British actor has demonstrated his skill in portraying complex, ethically gray roles that bear a resemblance to James Bond, notably in The White Lotus and Guy Ritchie’s film, The Gentlemen.
He told The Guardian that it’s unlikely he would take up the part.)
According to bookmaker Ladbrokes, it’s likely that Henry Cavill, known for playing Superman, will be the next actor to take on the role of ‘the one with a license to kill’, coming second only to the top favorite. Aaron trails behind at third place with odds of 7/2.
Among the potential candidates, Theo James stands at a probability of 6/4, followed closely by Henry Cavill who has a chance of 3/1. Aaron Taylor-Johnson is also in contention with odds of 7/2, while James Norton and Jack Lowden are listed at 6/1 and 12/1 respectively.
It seems that enthusiastic spectators are increasingly feeling certain that Theo might take on the role for the next James Bond film, as indicated by betting trends, where approximately 7 out of 10 wagers on the next 007 have been placed in favor of The White Lotus star.
A spokesperson for Ladbrokes, Cal Gildart, mentioned that Henry Cavill’s lead in the odds for playing the iconic role of Bond didn’t hold up for long. Now, Theo James is considered as strong a contender as any other, with bookmakers giving him the shortest odds to assume the world’s most recognized “license to kill.
In the realm of entertainment news that surfaced earlier this year, I must share some intriguing developments regarding the iconic James Bond series. The buzz was that Amazon Prime had assumed ‘creative authority’ over the franchise, causing a ripple of concern among fans who worried that the cherished films might be diluted by an onslaught of spin-offs.
The agreement follows Amazon’s purchase of MGM Studios in 2022, which was a move to strengthen their media presence. With this acquisition, Amazon gained distribution privileges for the James Bond franchise, although they do not have creative authority over it.

The company is accelerating production on the upcoming film, following speculation that it spent approximately $1 billion to reclaim ownership from Barbara.
David Heyman and Amy Pascal are set to join forces, with negotiations nearly complete with director Alfonso Cuaron. Once the deal is finalized, they’ll move forward in selecting the next James Bond actor.
According to The Daily Mail, there are plans for a fresh start or revival following Daniel Craig’s portrayal of James Bond, who met his demise in the movie “No Time To Die.
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but express my disappointment at the lack of insight into how our beloved secret agent manages to keep on ticking. No intricate multiverse of Bonds to explore, no time travel back to the swingin’ ’60s for a taste of vintage Bond action – it’s like a dream deferred!
Reports indicate that the executive team at Amazon may be exploring potential sites for their upcoming movie, a project that industry analysts have suggested could hit the screens towards the end of next year or 2027.
Next year, it appears that Central London will be off-limits for filming due to a ban. As such, potential alternative locations are being explored, and The Sun reports that Liverpool could take the lead among these possibilities.
