The Philippines is excited to kick off 2026 as a key part of the Honor of Kings esports community. The Philippines Kings League (PKL) Spring 2026 is scheduled to run from February to March.
This competition differs from other qualifying events for the World Cup, offering a unique prize structure and being held on a different platform.
Level Infinite and TiMi Studios are teaming up to host a major Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. The winning team will automatically qualify for the world championship. PKL Spring 2026 will be an in-person event where teams will compete head-to-head.
Philippines Kings League (PKL) Spring 2026: Schedule and Format
This year marks the third installment of the championship. We’re expanding the competition beyond last year, with two additional teams participating. The tournament will feature a best-of-five format during the Regular Season and a best-of-seven format for the Playoffs.
The tournament will kick off with the Group Stage, running until mid-March. Teams will play each other once in a round-robin format, followed by best-of-five matches. The top two teams will move directly to the Playoffs, while the next four will compete in the Play-Ins. During this stage, the standard global ban and pick rules will be used.
The Play In stage will be held on March 22nd and feature one best-of-seven match using the Ultimate Battle rules. Teams will be ranked, and the top two will move directly to the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs, while the remaining teams will start in the Lower Bracket.
The playoff stage of the event will run from March 27th to 29th. Six teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket, meaning each team has two chances to win before being eliminated. All matches will be best-of-seven and played using the Ultimate Battle format.
Participating Teams
This event will feature ten teams competing against each other to win and advance. Here’s a list of those teams:
Prize Pool
The prize money is good, especially considering this event determines who qualifies for the World Cup. The total prize pool is $60,000, and here’s how it’s distributed:
| Team Ranking | Prize Pool |
|---|---|
| The Champion | $12,000 |
| Runner-up | $8,000 |
| 3rd | $5,000 |
| 4th | $4,000 |
| 5th-6th | $2,000 |
This is the starting prize amount, but additional money is available. Teams can earn between $100 and $500 based on how well they perform in each match.
