As a seasoned MMA enthusiast with over two decades of following the sport, I can confidently say that the PFL’s Battle of the Giants is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the year. With heavyweight titans Francis Ngannou and Renan Ferreira squaring off for the Super Fight belt, and MMA legends Cris Cyborg and Larissa Pacheco clashing in the co-main event, it’s a dream come true for combat sports fans like myself.
On October 19th, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) will present a grand event known as Battle of the Giants. The main event of this showdown will feature former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou making his promotional debut against the PFL’s current heavyweight title holder, Renan Ferreira, for the prestigious PFL Super Fight belt. In the supporting main event, two exceptional women in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) will face off: Cris “Cyborg” Justino, who currently holds the Bellator featherweight championship and is widely regarded as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) in Women’s Mixed Martial Arts, will make her PFL debut against Larissa Pacheco, the only two-time champion in PFL history.
Prior to the upcoming event, the Professional Fighters League (PFL) will arrange a pre-fight press conference in Washington D.C., serving as their final Playoff event of the year’s lead-up. Here are the details about this press conference, including who is hosting and where you can watch it live.

As a dedicated fan, I’m here to share that it’s none other than Jake Paul who’s steering today’s press conference. Jake Paul, a newcomer to PFL, is yet to make his debut, but he’s been making waves in the boxing world. He’s got victories under his belt against Mike Parry and has an upcoming fight with the legendary Mike Tyson, which will be streamed on Netflix this year.
On Thursday, August 22, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, a gathering will take place at The Anthem in Washington, DC. This event will feature Francis Ngannou, Renan Ferreira, Jake Paul, Cris Cyborg, and Larissa Pacheco.
The press conference happens just one day before the PFL Playoffs conclude with welterweights and featherweight fighters. Topping that card is 2022 champion Brendan Loughnane taking on Kai Kamaka. That fight airs on ESPN+ on Friday.
