Peter Kay playfully teased Cat Deeley again during his appearance on This Morning on Thursday, also pointing out a habit of hers that he finds irritating during interviews.
The 52-year-old comedian claimed that Cat repeated a story he had already told, after the presenter brought up Billy Joel.
Peter mumbled a reluctant ‘If you want,’ and Cat pressed on, asking, ‘Weren’t you in Ireland and did you go visit him? And was it your dad who’s a big Billy Joel fan?’
He accused her of taking his story and challenged her, saying, ‘Just tell it! There’s nothing left of it anyway.’
Ben pointed out that she always acted this way, and Cat jokingly dismissed it, insisting she hadn’t revealed the important detail.
Peter also took issue with the presenter’s so-called ‘active listening’ skills, pointing it out to her later.

Peter was naming the twelve cancer charities he planned to donate his tour profits to, and he glanced at Cat with annoyance after she kept saying ‘Yeah’ while he was talking.
He started to laugh and explained, ‘I’m not laughing about cancer, it’s just that she keeps saying ‘yeah’!’
Cat looked embarrassed, then started to laugh and turned her head. Ben jumped in, saying, ‘It’s called active listening – my wife does it, and it really annoys me!’
Peter playfully asked if anyone had problems with the previous point and wanted to call about it, then went on to share a list of charities.
Viewers immediately turned to X, formerly Twitter, to share their reactions, with many praising a guest for finally confronting Cat about their behavior.
Someone finally pointed out that Peter Kay was playfully teasing Cat Deeley about her frequent filler words – things like ‘yep,’ ‘yeah,’ ‘aha,’ and ‘um’ – when she was speaking!
Peter is known for speaking his mind, even on live television. Earlier this year, he made news several times by asking disruptive audience members to leave his performances.
During his Manchester concert last February, Peter immediately asked security to remove a fan who shouted ‘we love you’ to him while he was performing. He didn’t appreciate the interruption.

A woman, later named as 25-year-old Myar Curran, was removed from the venue and jokingly compared to actress Lisa Riley from the TV show Emmerdale.
The comedian shouted back at her: ‘Go on, off you go Lisa Riley.’
During an interview on Good Morning Britain, Myar stated she would no longer watch him, explaining that his actions had left her feeling deeply humiliated.
She branded Kay a ‘bully’ and accused him of singling her out because of her weight.
Peter finally spoke about the situation, explaining, ‘I honestly didn’t mean to offend anyone. She just really resembled Lisa Riley, and I didn’t understand how that could be taken as an insult.’
Lisa also confirmed there were no hard feelings between her and the comedian, posting on Instagram: ‘Let’s put this to rest now – I wasn’t offended, and never was. I absolutely love Peter Kay. Laughter is the best remedy.’
Peter was visibly angry, especially since security had already escorted two people out of the show – one of whom had been yelling about ‘garlic bread’ the entire time.
A concertgoer told the Daily Mail they left before the show ended, describing the performer as unpleasant and critical, and saying the performance itself wasn’t good.
The concert was a letdown. One fan said it was awkward because a man kept yelling for garlic bread, and a woman just repeatedly shouted ‘We love you, Peter!’ After waiting twenty years to see him perform, they were really disappointed.
Someone else explained that they witnessed the incident firsthand. The performer repeatedly shouted ‘garlic bread’ – about four times, according to the witness. They felt a professional comedian like Kay should have been able to manage the situation more effectively, especially since the woman simply expressed her affection for him. It wasn’t aggressive behavior like heckling or swearing.
A month later, during another sold-out show – this time in London – the performer stopped the show to address a group of people who were heckling.
Peter insulted the disruptive audience members with offensive and playful terms before security removed them.
In a clip shared only with the Daily Mail, the celebrity made a joke referencing past comments about Lisa Riley. They asked the audience if anyone resembled her, specifically looking towards a certain area, and quickly moved on when no one responded.
He chuckled, saying, ‘You all look a bit like Right Said Fred in there – you’ve clearly had a good time! So, what are we going to do with you now?’
As the heckler continued to shout, Peter sarcastically challenged him, saying, “Go ahead, jump! See if you bounce!” This prompted laughter from the crowd.
