The stand-up comic temporarily stopped his act to address some rowdy audience members, occurring not long after the “Lisa Riley doppelganger” incident, but this occasion seemed less intense and possibly amusing.

Lisa Riley herself has made it clear that any apparent tension with Peter Kay is merely a misunderstanding, following his recent incident where he removed a woman from his performance and compared her to a famous soap actress.

At age 48, the actress went to see the comedian’s recent stand-up performance at the First Direct Arena in Leeds. Following the event, they took photos together.

Right alongside those captivating photos she posted on X, Lisa penned a heartfelt message of gratitude to me: “Thank you, thank you, thank you SO MUCH, Peter, for an absolutely mind-blowing evening at the iconic @fdarena.” I’m still in awe!

In her initial television appearance, the woman who was booted from Peter’s performance and later likened to Lisa stated that the comedian made her feel deeply embarrassed or ashamed.

25-year-old Myar Curran, who discussed the event during Good Morning Britain in February, expressed that she has no intention of watching the comedian anymore.

Later on, she labeled Kay as a ‘bully’ for likening her to an Emmerdale actress, and claimed that he targeted her specifically due to her weight. This incident occurred last month.

During his performance at the AO Arena in Manchester on Saturday, Myar exclaimed “We love you, Peter!” – however, he was subsequently asked to leave by the security team.

Leaving the stage, the 51-year-old comedian called out to the woman being escorted: “Alright, out you go, Lisa Riley!” (This version attempts to maintain the original’s informal tone and slight humor while making it more conversational.)

In an appearance on ITV, Myar explained: “I never intended to hurt anyone; I was merely expressing affection when I asked someone to leave, though evidently, that wasn’t well-received.

She mentioned that her words didn’t come across as abusive, aggressive, antisocial, or under the influence of alcohol. In other words, she didn’t mean to be disrespectful or unfriendly in what she said.

I had simply expressed my affection for Peter by shouting, “We adore you, Peter!” But his response seemed a tad excessive.

As a devoted admirer, I won’t be seeking an apology from Kay, but I promise that his future works and performances will no longer grace my presence.

This week, in an interview with Manchester Evening News, Myar expressed her dismay, stating that she believed the remark about “Lisa Riley” was intended as a mockery regarding her weight.

‘I do feel he was on about my weight,’ the mother-of-one said.

I’m aware that Lisa Riley has significantly slimmed down and looks fantastic, but she was larger in the past. Similarly, I wasn’t as large before, but I’ve gained some weight recently, mainly due to having a baby.

At a large venue with a capacity of 23,000 people, Myar, a dedicated caregiver, was deeply moved by the crowd’s response, causing her to shed tears on the spot. Upon returning to her hotel room later, she had a good cry about the emotional experience.

‘It was just a very rubbish situation. My whole family was disgusted by it.’ she said. 

‘It was like he was trying to get the crowd against me – it just wasn’t nice, to be honest.’

As Kay firmly stood by his choice to remove the disruptive spectators, he explained that their behavior was spoiling the performance for the rest of the crowd.

I tried my utmost to handle the matter with humor, much like a comedian might, but despite that, their disruptions persisted regrettably.

Later on, I attempted to disregard them, thinking they might calm down, but as the disturbance continued through the second part of the performance, I inquired politely from the spectators nearby if they were being disturbed by the noise.

For quite some time, Myar has been a devoted admirer of the comedian hailing from Bolton. Accompanied by her father, aunt, best friend, and boyfriend, she made the trip from Scotland to attend the performance together.

She had been excited to see Kay live for the first time and was wearing a zebra-print top.

Myar mentioned, ‘A few years back, I sadly lost my mother, and she had planned to attend this event. It would have been an exceptionally memorable occasion for us.’

In the middle of a performance, two individuals, Philip Peters (age 54) and his son (age 26), were unexpectedly removed from the venue during the show, following Philip’s shout for “garlic bread.

In a similar location, yet not associated with Mr. Peters, an individual named Myar exclaimed that she was subsequently asked to leave due to her shout of “We adore you, Peter!

Lisa previously hit back at Kay in a cryptic Instagram post about the incident. 

After Peter made some unpleasant remarks during his performance, she shared a motivational message emphasizing finding the positive aspects of life.

‘Instead of grumbling about the thorns on rose bushes, we could celebrate that those same thorns bring us beautiful roses.’
