Peter Andre’s Heartbreaking Farewell to Mum Battling Diseases: Must-See Video

On Wednesday, Peter Andre shared a heartfelt goodbye as he bid adieu to his mother Thea in Australia before returning to the United Kingdom.

52-year-old actor from “The Mysterious Girl,” has been vocal about the health challenges his 89-year-old mother, residing in Australia, has experienced over the past few years, following her diagnosis with both Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.

Now, he posted a video on Instagram after stopping by her care home prior to his journey home to reunite with his beloved ones in the UK.

In the video, you’ll notice Peter being tenderly touched on the face by his mother, who is trying to connect with him through gestures.

Next to the post, he wrote: ‘Spending time with my mom is the highlight of every trip for me. I’m not quite sure what she means in her message, but sometimes words aren’t necessary. I’ll return soon.’

‘I Love her so much, I pray she knows that. I also love Australia. But back to my babies now.’

Peter jetted to Australia to promote his new movie Jafaican.

In the crime-comedy, the actor plays Gary Buckle, portraying a character who feigns being a Jamaican mobster. (This version aims to keep the original meaning while sounding more natural and conversational.)

In order to carry out a scam in both London and Jamaica that will net him approximately £35,000 needed for his grandmother’s care, Gary, who is also called Gazza, has only 21 days to fully understand the culture of Jamaica.

As the movie is scheduled to premiere towards the end of the year, the trailer unveiled Peter sporting dreadlocks and adopting a Jamaican dialect, an aspect that some spectators find deeply disrespectful.

The trailer made fans question: ‘Did I wake up in 1998?!’

After Peter shared his feelings of anxiety while visiting his mother in Australia, this was followed by… or Following Peter’s disclosure about his anxious feelings upon visiting his mother in Australia, there was…

The star had to go there for professional obligations, but also managed to visit his unwell mother during that trip.

Though I reveled in the bliss of reuniting with my beloved parents, I can’t hide the fact that my heart aches every time I say goodbye to my family back in the UK. The separation stirs up feelings of worry and unease within me.

Peter has two teens, Junior and Princess, who he shares custody with his ex-wife and well-known model, Katie Price.

Besides him, he is married to Emily MacDonagh and together they have three younger kids named Amelia, Theo, and Arabella.

In his OK! magazine article, Peter expressed that parting with his kids when he travels is never easy, and he often feels worried before departing.

I’m excited to see my mom in Australia, but at the same time, I’m anxious because our time together will be quite brief. Since I’ve been seeing my parents every day, even during work hours, this reunion feels both wonderful and a little sad.

In my own words, I can’t help but feel elated upon seeing them, and equally thrilled at the prospect of returning to be with my beloved children.

In January, Peter shared some insights about the mental health challenges he faced following a challenging year.

The pop star explained that his struggles have largely resulted from his mother’s health woes.

As the singer highlighted the wondrous aspects of the year, like the arrival of his youngest daughter, Arabella, he admitted that certain periods of the year were challenging for him.

In an interview with The Mirror, he shared that while he enjoyed many successes in 2024, he encountered bouts of anxiety not felt in a while, primarily concerning his mother’s wellbeing.

I chose to discuss mental health extensively as I felt it was important to be transparent and acknowledge that life isn’t always perfect.

In a nutshell, I tend to view myself as an optimistic individual; however, I must admit that there have been challenging periods throughout this past year.

In the beginning of last year, Peter delved into a delicate topic in his article for New! Magazine as well.

He expressed astonishment at finding himself close to the age of 51. Despite his concerns as he neared 50, he has since moved past that milestone and feels fantastic instead.

‘I’m loving life and age is just a number. You can live life to the fullest at any age.

To put it plainly, what saddens me most as I grow older is the realization that my parents are also aging.

Peter went on to say: “Though it’s a blessing that my parents are still alive, I can’t help but notice how quickly they’re both aging, particularly my mother. That aspect is tough for me to handle.

‘Like most people, l’m so close to my parents that it is really difficult to come to terms with.’
