The disputed movie was released a month following when Peter publicly criticized Disney’s contemporary, live-action Snow White, claiming it cost jobs by substituting real dwarf actors with computer-generated imagery (CGI).

In his latest magazine piece, he delved into the ongoing discussion about the movie, arguing strongly: “I believe these timeless films should remain untouched.

In 2023, the release of the movie was postponed for significant changes following poor audience responses to the presence of seven non-dwarf magical beings. Instead, computer-generated imagery (CGI) was employed to replace the original seven dwarves.

Peter stated that Disney is facing some criticism due to their latest adaptation of Snow White, as they have opted to utilize CGI for the magical creatures rather than the traditional seven dwarfs.

It’s worth noting that the initial tales and movies reflect the era they were created in, and indeed, some aspects may not resonate well with modern viewers.

It seems essential that we preserve original versions of timeless films. Modern movies should continue showcasing a wide range of diversity, but reimagining classics with computer-generated imagery (CGI) instead of employing actors isn’t an ideal approach.
