Pete Wicks “cried several times” filming emotional new project

As a dedicated fan of both Strictly Come Dancing and all things canine, I was absolutely thrilled to learn about Pete Wicks‘ upcoming documentary, For Dogs’ Sake. Having followed his journey on TOWIE and Strictly, it’s clear that this man has a soft spot for rescue dogs, which resonates deeply with me as well.

Having two furry family members of my own who were once strays, I can attest to the transformative power of adopting a rescued pup. The love, loyalty, and companionship they bring into our lives is truly immeasurable. So it’s no surprise that Pete prefers dogs over people!

The teaser for For Dogs’ Sake has left me with a mix of excitement and anticipation. I can only imagine the emotional journey he’ll be taking us on as he sheds light on the heartbreaking reality faced by so many pups in rescue centers across the UK. The series promises to be both an eye-opener and a reminder of the importance of adopting rather than shopping for pets.

One thing that stands out to me is Pete’s unwavering passion for this cause, as he’s been eager to make this documentary for over a decade. It’s evident that his dedication stems from a deep understanding and appreciation for the bond between humans and their four-legged friends.

To top it all off, Pete’s quick wit never fails to entertain us. I can just imagine him cracking jokes on set while working tirelessly to raise awareness about rescue dogs. Perhaps he’ll even share a few laughs with his dance partner from Strictly Come Dancing!

In conclusion, For Dogs’ Sake is sure to tug at our heartstrings and inspire us to make a difference in the lives of shelter dogs. Mark your calendars for January 7, 2025, and join Pete on this unforgettable journey! Who knows, maybe we’ll even get to see him dance with his furry friends – now that would be a sight to behold!

Star of “Strictly Come Dancing,” Pete Wicks, found himself moved during the recording of his latest series, titled “For Dogs’ Sake.

The reality TV personality from TOWIE is collaborating with Dogs Trust in Basildon on a mission to save and care for at-risk canines. Pete, owner of two adopted French bulldogs named Eric and Peggy, admitted that he shed tears multiple times during filming the series.

“I don’t think you realise how much dogs will change things until you have one.”

He expressed about the latest series: “Working on this show was an honor, yet it wasn’t without its emotional challenges. I have no qualms admitting that. There were instances when I found myself shedding tears. It’s truly heart-rending to observe a dog who has had a tough start, their eyes reflecting sadness.

Besides that, Pete mentioned his long-held desire to create a documentary featuring rescue dogs. The goal behind this project is to shed light on the large number of dogs still residing in shelters throughout the United Kingdom who are eagerly seeking permanent homes.

He mentioned, “I’ve longed to work on this series for about ten years now. The reason? Approximately 100,000 dogs are currently housed in UK shelters. However, it’s disheartening to know that just one out of every five dog owners chooses to adopt from these rescues.

This year, Pete participated in the 22nd season of Strictly Come Dancing, partnering with Jowita Przystał professionally. They advanced to the semi-finals but were eliminated in round 12 following a dance-off against Aljaž Škorjanec and Tasha Ghouri.

Pete Wicks: For Dogs’ Sake will air on U and U&W on January 7, 2025.
