Pete Doherty shows off his slimmer physique as he poses alongside his wife Katia De Vidas at the Yoroi premiere in Paris

Pete Doherty looked noticeably thinner when he and his wife, Katia De Vidas, attended the premiere of Yoroi in Paris on Thursday.

The British singer, 46, flashed a gentle smile as he wrapped his arm around Katia.

At a glamorous event in Paris, the famous singer known as Libertine showed up on the red carpet wearing his usual style: a suit, tie, and black fedora.

Okay, let’s talk style! I loved what director and musician Katia wore – she kept it effortlessly chic with a classic black blouse and grey jeans. She really nailed the look with those cool, dark patent leather boots – such a great finishing touch! It’s a perfect example of how you can be comfortable and stylish at the same time.

I was so thrilled to hear that Leos Carax, the director of Holy Motors, married his partner, Peter, back in September 2021! And then, just recently in May 2023, they had a beautiful baby daughter named Billie-May Doherty. It’s wonderful news!

Katia and Pete share a close connection both in their personal lives and musically. She also plays piano in Pete’s other band, The Puta Madres.

He appeared at the event after returning to touring with his Felt Better Alive Europe tour earlier this year. He’d previously shared that a recent health issue served as a strong reminder to prioritize his well-being.

He announced in March that he faced the possibility of toe amputation due to a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis received last year, but thankfully, his condition has since improved.

Pete recently gave his fans a health update while performing at a show in Munich, Germany, as seen in a video obtained by The Sun.

He told me the doctor advised me to rest and stay off my feet, or I risk losing my toes.

He apparently didn’t notice the sores on his feet until two of his toes went black in January.

He told The Times it was a close call whether he’d be able to stay standing, as he’d lost sensation in his feet.

People with diabetes are at risk of foot problems because high blood sugar can damage blood vessels, reducing blood flow to their feet and legs.

He said finding out the news was a major shock, and he’s been avoiding alcohol ever since.

Pete explained that he now enjoys a gin and tonic once a week, but has mostly stopped drinking. As a result, his blood sugar is under control and his toes are starting to heal.

The artist has often discussed his health struggles. Last year, he revealed he felt like he was facing death because of the long-term effects of drug and alcohol abuse.

Speaking with Louis Theroux in a documentary, he revealed he was in very poor health, explaining he’d pushed his body to its limits and really taken a toll on it.

It started with heroin and crack, then moved to cocaine, smoking, and alcohol. Now, my cravings are for things like cheese, sausage, and sugar in my tea.

Last spring, Pete shared that he’d been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. He also admitted he wasn’t currently focused on managing his cholesterol levels, saying he needed to work on his self-discipline to do so.

Pete appears to be making an effort to be more disciplined, especially after a serious conversation with his doctor.

The actor previously shared with the Evening Standard that his doctor advised him to make an immediate change to his diet.

He shared with the publication that a liver specialist advised him to adjust his diet, specifically to reduce his intake of cheese and milk.

Honestly, the cheese is a big reason I keep coming back. I’m watching my cholesterol and blood sugar now, but thankfully, medication helps a lot.

The actor has shared before that he gained weight because he enjoys indulging in his favorite foods.

Pete revealed in 2021 that he’d given up drugs and now prefers simple pleasures like cheese on toast and sleeping in – a big change from his past when he’d sometimes stay awake for six days straight.
