Pete Doherty packs on the PDA with wife Katia de Vidas during rare red carpet appearance at the Luxembourg Film Festival’s closing ceremony

Pete Doherty and his wife, Katia de Vidas, showed affection for each other at the Luxembourg Film Festival’s closing ceremony on Saturday night.

Oh my gosh, you guys, did you SEE him?! Our 47-year-old rock god was on the red carpet for the 2026 Festival – he’s one of the judges, can you believe it?! – and he just couldn’t keep his hands off her! It was so cute! It’s his beautiful brunette girlfriend, the mother of their adorable two-year-old, Billie-May. They’re just the sweetest couple, honestly. I was practically screaming!

Pete showed off his fit new look in a navy pinstripe suit, complete with a shirt, tie, a leopard-print scarf, and a wide-brimmed hat.

Katia looked effortlessly chic in a short dress, pairing it with bold, chunky black boots as she walked with confidence.

The couple posed for a photo, with Pete putting his arm around his wife before they shared a kiss.

Filmmaker Katia married Pete in September 2021 and in May 2023 they welcomed their daughter.

Katia and Pete share a close relationship both in their personal lives and musically. She also plays piano in Pete’s band, The Puta Madres.

He appeared at the event after returning to touring with his Felt Better Alive Europe tour earlier in the year. He’d previously shared that a recent health issue served as a strong reminder to prioritize his well-being.

He shared in March that he faced the possibility of toe amputation due to a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis last year, but thankfully, his condition has improved.

Pete recently shared a health update with his fans during a performance in Munich, Germany, as captured in a video by The Sun.

He told me the doctor advised getting off my feet as much as possible, or I risk losing my toes.

He apparently didn’t notice the sores on his feet until two of his toes went black in January.

He told The Times it was uncertain if he’d be able to stay standing, as he’d lost sensation in his feet.

People with diabetes are at risk of foot problems because high blood sugar can harm blood vessels, reducing blood flow to their feet and legs.

Honestly, finding out about my health was a huge wake-up call. It really made me re-evaluate things, and I’ve pretty much stopped drinking since then. It’s been a big lifestyle change, but a necessary one.

Pete explained that he now has a gin and tonic once a week, but has mostly stopped drinking. As a result, his blood sugar is under control and his toes are starting to heal.

The artist has often discussed his health struggles. Last year, he revealed that years of drug and alcohol abuse had left him feeling as though he was facing a life-threatening situation.

He admitted to Louis Theroux, in a documentary, that he was in very poor health, explaining he’d pushed his body to its limits and really taken a toll on it.

It started with heroin and crack cocaine, then moved to cocaine, smoking, and alcohol. Now, my cravings are for things like cheese, sausage, and sugar in my tea.
