Over four years ago, during his sobriety journey, Davidson announced that he was committing to a long, costly, and challenging process.

Last month, it became apparent that the demanding procedure yielded impressive outcomes, as he revealed his tattoo-less physique in a fresh advertising campaign for Reformation.

But these new beachside snaps suggest the process isn’t quite finished. 

During their recent reunion on Late Night last month, he discussed the process of parting ways as he caught up with his friend and ex-SNL colleague, Seth Meyers.

In the chat show, Davidson confessed that he’s unsure about the duration it would take to remove all his tattoos, but he aspires to accomplish this within a timeframe of less than ten years.

Davidson clarified to Meyers that he hadn’t anticipated the tattoos, specifically on his chest and back, would disappear by the time he turned 40.

Later on, Davidson made it clear that every tattoo requires numerous sessions spread over several weeks to allow for proper healing.

Davidson clarified that there will be at least seven sessions required. He added that working on black and white tattoos is somewhat simpler, but if the design involves colors, it can take an extended period.

When Meyers inquired if there was a specific tattoo that the comedian was relieved to part ways with, he responded by expressing his desire to eliminate them all.

He confessed that many of his decisions regarding tattoos were made prior to going into rehab, which he now acknowledges as being rather foolish choices.

In response to being asked about his least favorite ones, Davidson said, “I have a grouping of cartoons puffing on a marijuana cigarette.

He mentioned that among the group was one of The Muppets, specifically the Tootsie Pop owl, finding it odd since the advertisement featuring that character aired when he was too young.

As for the tattoos, it was reported last week that Davidson decided he wanted them removed one day, and this process has taken several years.
