Pete Davidson’s baby bombshell has BFF Machine Gun Kelly planning ‘playdates’ with his and Megan Fox’s newborn

Pete Davidson and close friend Machine Gun Kelly are now arranging get-togethers, as news broke that the former Saturday Night Live cast member is set to become a father for the first time.

31-year-old comedian has been connected romantically with English model, Elsie Hewitt, since March. Last week, they publicly revealed that they are expecting their first child, adding a new chapter to their swiftly unfolding love story.

Kelly is currently a father to 16-year-old Casie, whom he co-parents with Emma Cannon, and also to three-month-old Saga Blade, who was born in March with Megan Fox.

On Wednesday of last week, the artist known as Bad Things posted a series of photos on Instagram, including one that clearly depicted a Facetime conversation between him and Davidson.

The old friends, who became quite close since their initial meeting in 2017, sported broad grins in the photograph.

2017 saw Kelly and Davidson first crossing paths on the MTV’s Wild ‘N Out set, leading to the blossoming of a strong bond between them as friends.

Approximately two years after their initial meeting, they came together once more to shoot The Dirt – a movie blending music and comedy, which hit the screens in 2019.

In my chat with Billboard, I shared some insights into the casual bond that developed between me and the comedian once the cameras stopped rolling during our filming sessions.

As a fellow enthusiast, I can relate when this musician remarked, “We were two souls deeply immersed in our shared love for music.” This bond was so profound that he affectionately labeled his companion as, “So that’s my boy.

In 2018, following a concerning tweet by Davidson, it was disclosed that Kelly was en route to offer a wellness check on the celebrity.

At that moment, he posted on X (previously known as Twitter): “Currently on a flight heading to visit Pete. I’ll ensure he’s alright, I guarantee it. I can’t let my friend endure such darkness.

During a visit to The Howard Stern Show in 2020, Kelly discussed the way he first formed a connection with Davidson.

‘He was the only other person that smoked weed. So we were bonded over that,’ the rapper recalled. 

Kelly went on to say, “Since I don’t have any biological brothers or sisters, seeing people like Pete is like having a little brother for me. He’s also my closest friend.

As an individual who grew up as an only child, I can tell you it feels like striking gold when you find someone like Pete. Having no siblings myself, the idea of having a brother or sister has always been my dream – that dynamic connection and companionship. So, in essence, Pete serves that role for me.

In 2021, Davidson portrayed Kelly in a Saturday Night Live episode, leading the music artist to share his thoughts on the skit.

On his Instagram stories, the rapper playfully posted: “Pete, you’re fully aware that I don’t speak like that.

Over time, these two stars have been seen at various events and walked the red carpet side by side.

Last year, Kelly and Davidson were seen enjoying a boys’ day out in Los Angeles.   

At the 2025 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards held in June, the rapper and his daughter Casie, now sixteen, had an uncommon outing on the red carpet. The two of them graced the event together.

Apart from acknowledging Casie’s role in his sobriety journey, he talked about it on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast approximately a year ago.

Kelly remembered thinking, ‘My daughter commented, “Dad, I can sense when you’re under the influence,” which deeply saddened me as it represented a significant disappointment.’

He mentioned that his child was around 11 or 12 years old when he discussed the challenges of giving up drugs.

After some time had passed, I found myself grappling with the reality that addiction had its grip on me, undeniably. Recognizing this was the first step for me. As a father and as a man, I yearn to be the kind of father I wish my own father could have been, and that means breaking this generational curse for my child. In other words, I’m determined to shatter this cycle and create a healthier legacy for my kid.

On March 27th, Kelly had his second child, who was also his first with Fox, even though they parted ways back in December 2024.

During a quick stroll on the red carpet at the 2025 American Music Awards in May, the rapper shared a momentary insight regarding their recent addition.

He was incredibly happy and excited about it, telling Access Online that it was amazing. Furthermore, he expressed his belief that being a father was something he was destined for.

In December of last year, Kelly and Fox parted ways, but recently, they have rekindled their bond while vacationing in Costa Rica together with their little daughter, as reported by TMZ.

Davidson discussed his work towards overcoming alcohol issues during a chat on Tuesday’s edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

It appears that the actor has remained abstinent for close to a year now, and during this time, he’s spent approximately $200,000 on getting rid of his tattoos as part of his personal transformation process.

At some point during the talk show, the host questioned Davidson about any changes in his comedy routine after getting sober. To this, Davidson responded casually with “Oh, absolutely.

The expectant father went on to say, ‘What I was anxious about was the possibility that I might not be very skilled, or perhaps I was under the influence and thought I was more capable than I actually was.’

However, Davidson expressed that he is now, ‘weirdly sharper and more aware, so it’s more fun.’

After that, Fallon expressed, ‘I’m enjoying it more,’ which led the star of Bodies Bodies Bodies to respond with, ‘Oh yes, when people laugh, you can truly sense it, rather than being up so high and detached.’

Just last week, both of them shared delightful news on Instagram about anticipating their first child as a couple. Among the pictures were one where the humorist tenderly placed his hands on her belly.

It is said that the pregnancy was unexpected for the couple, but they are absolutely thrilled about the prospect of becoming parents.

According to a source who spoke to Us Weekly, Pete and Elsie initially didn’t plan to start a family, but they’re incredibly thrilled about the upcoming addition.

‘Pete and Elsie’s bond is full of joy and playfulness. Their current situation seems to be thriving.’

Regardless of their brief period together, the pregnancy seems to have strengthened their bond significantly. It appears that Pete is now part of a thriving relationship.

Davidson conveyed his profound gratitude and immense joy, stating, “I feel incredibly fortunate,” and further shared his eagerness, “to nurture something and offer it the childhood I never had.

He went on to say, ‘It seems like you’re trying to provide them with things you didn’t experience yourself, or things you weren’t fond of, rather than making your own choices.’

After the major revelation, the celebrity has already been flooded with suggestions from friends, among them being fellow actor Adam Sandler.
