Peta Murgatroyd reveals whether she will return for season 33 of Dancing With The Stars one month after giving birth to third baby
As a dedicated fan of Dancing With The Stars, I can’t help but feel a mix of admiration and heartache for Peta Murgatroyd. Her life journey, filled with love, loss, and ultimately joy, is truly inspiring. From her triumphant wins on the show to her personal struggles with infertility, she has shown an unwavering spirit that deserves nothing but respect.
Every year, enthusiasts of Dancing with the Stars anxiously look forward to finding out who will make up the cast of contestants for the next season’s competition.
Last Thursday, I cleared up some speculation about my current situation during a live Instagram broadcast. It turns out that my partner, Artem Chigvintsev, won’t be coming back due to the recent charges of domestic violence against him.
38-year-old dance professional shared that she won’t be participating in Dancing With The Stars this season, explaining to her 1.1 million Instagram followers that it’s simply too early for her return.
Murgatroyd mentioned that it was still relatively early, considering she had given birth to her third child with her partner Maxim Chmerkovskiy (former DWTS dancer) barely a month ago.
Milana Maksim Chmerkovskiy was born on Earth on July 12, and it took approximately six weeks for her body to begin healing from the process of giving birth to a child.

Essentially, this mother of three was very close to having two children within a short span of time, as she delivered her and her partner’s second child, their son Rio, in June 2023.
She expressed her awe, “Those little ones are incredible! It’s hard for me to believe that I now have three. Honestly, I never imagined this would be my reality,” she revealed during her Q-and-A session with fans.
She shared that her family now includes three children who are biologically hers, conceived through In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). After a challenging wait of approximately 2.5 years, she admitted honestly, it was tough. However, feeling incredibly grateful, she expressed that life is wonderful for her now.
It’s taken quite a journey to reach this point, and I must say, it’s simply astounding how everything has unfolded – in a way that one might put it.
The lengthy journey for Murgatroyd and her spouse was primarily a result of the difficulties they faced during their attempts to conceive after their first child.
In January 2017, their son Shai Aleksander Chmerkovskiy was born as the first addition to their family, and exactly six months later, they exchanged vows at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York.
They had a desire to expand their family further, so they attempted to conceive naturally. Regrettably, this approach led to her experiencing three miscarriages between the years 2020 and 2021.
Initially, they resorted to in-vitro fertilization in their quest for another child, but eventually, they conceived two more kids without needing IVF assistance.
In 2011, the star from “Burn The Floor” became part of the main cast on “Dancing with The Stars,” joining the dance group during season 12.
She would become a regular member of the professional cast the following year ahead of season 13.
In her third year on the show, she partnered with ex-NFL player Donald Driver. Together, they ended up winning the Mirrorball Trophy during season 14.
Murgatroyd won a second title in 2016 when she was partnered with model Nyle DiMarco for season 22.
In the recently concluded season 32, I had the privilege of competing against Barry Williams, famously known for his role in The Brady Bunch. Remarkably, he made it to the final elimination round before his journey came to an end.
All in all, the skilled Latin dancer participated in a total of 15 seasons of Dancing with the Stars since 2011, taking breaks for about five seasons during that time, some of which were because she was pregnant.
44-year-old Chmerkovskiy, frequently known as the “rebel of the dance floor,” has spent 15 seasons competing as a professional dancer on a reality show that features competitions.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but share the news that the charismatic dancer from Odesa, Ukraine, who once graced the stage of the Ukrainian SSR (now part of modern-day Ukraine), declared his retirement from Dancing with the Stars in April 2018.
