SEGA and ATLUS have unveiled that their role-playing game with turn-based combat, titled “Persona5: The Phantom X,” will be released on mobile devices and PC platforms on June 26, 2025. Initially announced in 2023, the game conducted its third closed beta testing (CBT) in China, followed by an open beta test (OBT) in April 2024, before focusing on releases in Japan and globally.

I’m thrilled about the fact that this isn’t just a rehash, but an entirely fresh narrative featuring a new lead character and a crew of Phantom Thieves. To add to the excitement, popular figures like Joker will make a unique guest appearance through special agreements, making it even more enjoyable!

In the game, there’s plenty to discover. By day, you’ll immerse yourself in student life, juggling part-time work, participating in clubs, and gathering real-life wisdom. However, the scene shifts at night, as you delve into intellectual labyrinths, snatch riches, and overcome a variety of obstacles to achieve your objectives.

Moreover, it’s worth mentioning the introduction of a fresh PvE mode, titled The Velvet Trials, as well as the social aspect provided by the Guild feature for player interaction. Additionally, I’m excited about the Synergy System, where developing close bonds with characters will grant you access to unique side stories directly from ATLUS.

As a thrilled supporter, I must say this upcoming game seems incredibly captivating! It offers a fresh narrative, an array of novel characters and Personas, part-time jobs, mini-games, a brand new palace and Mementoes, a PvE mode, and plenty more. And let’s not forget about the NPC events and additional side stories it promises to deliver.
